Heroin does flu or bronchitis getting on H render it no good?

My friend said he had picked up some baloons and through them n his mouth
And when he took them out realized that one of the balloons was opened on the side..

But the thing is, he has bronchitis rite now

I was curious of somehow that would make that peice bad to inject?
If somehow bronchitis is in your saliva and ended up on the peice of tar?

Rite now he has it in a drawer with the wrapper open airing out

Is it safe to iv the peice after airing it out?

Anyone have any. Knowledge about a scenario similar to this?

I would not inject ANYTHING that has come in contact with someone's saliva. Especially if they have bronchitis.. There isn't much you can do to kill the bronchitis, if it got in the heroin. I would just throw away that balloon and cut your loses. Losing a couple bucks is better than shooting up bronchitis. Airing it out won't make it any safer. Tar is dirty as it is, so now it is even nastier. Cooking your shot in a spoon also is very ineffective for killing bacteria. To kill off bacteria, you need to boil water for a good 20 minutes or so.

Potentially injecting saliva is very dangerous; he should not inject the balloon which was ripped open.

It doesn't matter whether he has bronchitis or not. You shouldn't inject anything that has potentially come into contact with saliva.

He should find a more sanitary place to hold onto his dope, and/or he should more carefully examine the balloons before running back to the house with them. However, when you're in the ghetto copping dope, I am sure the last thing you want to do is sit there and stare at it for a good long while to make sure it's packaged well, so I am not trying to blame you for not doing that.

Nope. Killing bacteria requires boiling for at least a quarter of an hour. There is almost no reason at all to heat your shot in the spoon unless you are trying to dissolve solids and then willing to wait while it cools and the inactives recrystalize.

Your own saliva is basically just as bad. The primary issue isn't getting communicable diseases but the plethora of bacteria present in all humans' mouths.

If you would have read my post, I specifically stated how cooking a shot in a spoon does absolutely nothing in regards to killing off bacteria. You must boil water (or a shot for that matter) for at LEAST 20 minutes for there to be any worthwhile damage done to the bacteria and leaving you with a basically sterile solution.

As others have indicated, injecting anything that has come into contact with saliva carries significant risk and should not be tried. I'd just throw it away, but if you're set on not entirely wasting it, plugging is a safer option. Do some searches and check out the directory for information about how to plug.
