I know a lot of people say you get a greater effect from drugs by doing them on an empty stomach but does this actaully make much of a difference? If so, is it even noticeable? Why?

yes. usually hits faster and stronger. more easily absorbed by stomach cuz it doesnt have to break down and absorb food at the same time also.

i am not well informed on this but in some cases having eaten before taking a drug will make it stronger.. something to do with protein binding... i think.. i could be wrong....

then also theres the fact if u drop on an empty stomache it hits you quiker...

As far a painkillers go, I find them to hit me quicker on an empty stomach. What seems to help even more is drinking a bottle or 2 of water with them. Maybe it helps dissolve it quicker. I usually eat a little something after an hour or so if I feel a bit nauseous.

I think eating fatty meals helps the absorption of morphine though, or increases its BA

Opiates + Mountain Dew is how I take my opiates. Once I start feeling the effects I'll eat a little

Food in your stomach can make a huge difference in how long it takes to peak, ex, 45 minutes to roll, or 2 hours if you've eaten. Not sure about how much it effects total absorption... I say in most cases it's best to have eaten something. If not only because it helps prevent stomach discomfort (like pain killers do to me), than sometimes it's good to have food in you just to keep you up and running during your drug experience which may eliminate your appetite for a long time despite your bodies need for energy. The only thing I really take without food in me are benzos because they are easy on the stomach and when ya need em, you want em to work as fast as possible... well, that and pot-food haha

yeah for painkillers, empty stomach, faster onset = better rush/high...

when i used to pop pill every morning, id pop my pills and 10 mins later eat so i wouldnt be nausias

and hot soup will DEF make it come on quicker, worked for me in the winter (again in the morning/empty stomach)

Yeah when i first started dilaudid i noticed the high was better if I took the meds on an empty stomach - and this was plugging them, totally bypassing the stomach!

Oh and ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my SEVEN HUNDRETH POST!

I hope it was an good for you as it was for me.
