Does DXM and Adderall/Vyvance react with zyprexa or prozac?

Just curious as to if I should be taking either while I'm on my current medication (Zyprexa & Prozac)

DXM isn't safe to take with SSRI'S and zyprexa being an anti-psychotic would prevent tripping off DXM because it acts as a anti psychotic to my knowledge.

There is an increased risk of serotonin syndrome. It's a very dangerous idea to mix SSRIs with DXM.

Mixing DXM with amphetamines (Adderall, Vyvanse, Dexedrine, etc) is also dangerous. I wouldn't mix amphetamines or SSRIs with DXM.

Alright, how long should I be off the SSRI for it to be safe to ingest DXM?

Depends on your SSRI. Prozac/fluoxetine has a really long half life, complicated by active metabolites and a tendency to inhibit it's own metabolism. I honestly wouldn't like to hazard a guess, and it depends how long you've been on it, but a quick glance at wikipedia tells me complete excretion could take several weeks.

Stopping your fluoxetine for some DXM really doesn't seem worth it, sorry sdaffer..
