Alcohol Does drinking bud light make you a homosexual? A thread

The Bronx, eh? I always thought you were cool but now I know you are really cool. Brooklyn checking in.
Brooklyn!!! What part? I lived there for a decade, now I’m back in Jerz. Midwood here; actually more like Fiske Terrace but that’s debatable. Ave H stop off the B/Q 😉

Well I live in South Carolina now. I'm down here because of a court case, and once that's resolved I'm moving up to Canada with my girl to teach yoga.

Last time I was in Brooklyn I was in Bensonhurst. Go Bensonhurst!

I don't think any of them were killed by "alt right" people. When I looked at it a few weeks ago it looked like most of them were killed in domestic violence with their partners or robberies

"The Everytown report found that Black transgender people, especially transgender women, were killed at a particularly disproportionate rate -- echoing previous analysis that the trans community faces higher rates of violence.

According to the report, 73% of tracked homicides between 2017 and 2021 were of Black trans women though they make up only an estimated 13% of the transgender population."

so what does that tell ya? ^

What kind of yoga? I’m partial to Hatha yoga myself but then again I’m lazy 😉

What's it supposed to tell me?

My point wasn't about the rates they are killed at, or even questioning that, it was that almost all of the ~45 of them, if not all of them, that were killed last year weren't killed by right wingers or "alt right" as @deficiT was apparently claiming

So who committed most of the killings? Nobody here seems to care about finding out

It's all so ridiculous. All those videos of people throwing away their bud light and switching to coors lite.... well, coors lite was actually the first beer company to promote gay rights all the way back in 1978. Most alcohol producers have made pro LGBT statements.

These people are just virtue signaling. They talk about a woke mind virus? They're infected by their own mind virus, obsessed with going against anything they deem as woke.

you think it's the people annoyed by bud light that are virtue signalling , not bud light? this hasn't been a good decision for sales and i'm sure they knew that their demographic wouldn't be into this. it's just a virtue signal , look how socially aware we are, we are a morally superior company etc etc.

Ok yeah let me check the police files that I definitely have access to. I'm sure the splc or other organizations that study these kinds of things have your breakdown.

Yeah because they don't want to look like all the people that can't handle a minority being involved with their beer business. Time moves forward. Sorry but companies won't be donning the hood anymore to win over the South.

Eh, I wish them luck with that. I don't think it's going to end too well. You have the very loud leftists online but I think the quiet majority does not like virtue signalling.

Because the quiet majority are mostly out of touch and get triggered over the tiniest things and turn them into a controversy.

You realize it's the conservatives that have made this a controversy right? They live on the shit and look for any form of "wokeism" they can bleat about online or even worse in person.

Anheuser-Busch has a veritable monopoly in this country. That's capitalism for you. They could advertise a bleeding dong on their cans and people would still buy the shit. By "not ending well" surely you mean people will have to start confronting the cognitive dissonance they have about their prejudices against trans people instead of crying "virtue signaling"

No , that's not what I mean at all, I mean that this will have negative economic consequences for their business as indicated by the huge losses already. By and large people don't like virtue signalling. They don't like when big money corporations try and appear morally superior , you've seen this with widespread backlash to Pepsi , Gillette and others.

You say "surely people will have to start confronting the cognitive dissonance they have about their prejudices against trans people"
To think everyone is going to buy into this gender ideology is just silly, to assume everyone is going to be a leftist is silly.

How about we keep politics seperate from big money corporations? That'd be nice. What was wrong with the original bud light packaging?

Anheiser Busch does not have a monopoly - MillerCoors / MolsonCoors is their main competitor

they'd like to have a monopoly but they don't have a monopoly

the beer industry is more of an oligopoly

I hold no illusions that people will comprehend their own hypocrisy or come to the light side, but again, People crying about a beer can is so petty. Sorry buddy politics is in everything and always will be.

If this was 1950 people would be crying about a black man partnering with a beer company, because beer is the holy sacrament of the white man and no one else should be involved. History repeats itself.

"Big losses", trust me they'll be fine. If anything I don't think you people realize that the people railing about this are the "loud minority" and most ppl are grown enough to not make a big deal out of it.

"Virtue signaling" is just a buzzword for things people don't like. Of course an international corporation wants to appear to be with the times like everybody else.

Again this is all just an excuse to avoid saying out loud, that I don't want this minority group to have anything to do with my beer.
