Does Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) have similar effects to a common ecstasy pill?

I'm new to this website so im not sure if this is a suitable post but my friend and I roll together quite frequently and he said on the weekend that he took Dexedrine. He claims that the high was as good as your average pill (mainly mdma with some speed), but I find this hard to believe. He does not roll much so im not sure if i really value his opinion. Just gotten me really curious about if its true and about this Dexedrine stuff as well.
 
no. not really. dexedrine is just speed. i took 50mg once and it made my scalp tingle, and made me sweat a lot. but that's where the similarities end. maybe the pills you've been getting are mostly speed?
 
Sounds like you and your friends have been taking meth bombs.. "MDMA and speed" is almost always just plain meth these days.


But the two drugs are similar, real MDMA has a much more serotonergic action though, as well as releasing oxytocin (the love hormone) and prolactin (chemical responsible for sexual pleasure) so it has a much more "lovey" effect and is not nearly as stimulating as plain amphetamine. So, yes. The two drugs CAN feel similar... but also no, they are extremely different.



I recommend you get a pill testing kit found at dancesafe.org or eztest.com, it's the only real way to know if you've been taking MDMA or speed..
 
they are very different in their effects.

dex for me is speedy yet clear headed with lucid thoughts. helps me focus.

mdma their is not much focus going on more dreamy lovey empathetic thoughts. waves of pleasure, jaw grinding, eye wobbles. mdma often makes me want ot just sit and shoot the shit with others, that or dance.

imo two very different drugs, with very different pros and cons.

you know for sure you are getting dex cause its pharm. all this molly mandy moonrocks bs you could be getting fucking anything not to mention how hit and miss pills can be.

once you get decent mdma you will never forget it and never get it mixed up or confused again.

If you asking if dex is similiar to MDMA then i hate to break it to you, you have never had propper MDMA.

Like said, when you have dosed pure MDMA you will deffintly fucking know :)

Dex speeds me up and is a good addition to a very munting dose of MDMA to get up and move!
 
i agree with the power of the placebo effect. the mind is a weird piece of kit. however i also agree that once you have had the pleasure of sampling mdma at a flooring dose, you will never forget it, and it will be most definitely distinguishable from d-amp.

the headspace from the two is miles and miles apart. md your off souring on cloud 9, with dex while still euphoric it is a clear, crisp, focussed zone, imo/e.

Placebo is different very powerful...! Back when I first started rolling I was having a great time on these pills for an hour, until someone told me they thought they were duds with fucking ephedrine and no MDMA!

But yes have seen many people myself who havent experienced MDMA only pills who for their first time had meth bombs and felt pretty euphoric off it, said they were great! Until I got them some actual MDMA pills.

But yeah deffintly getting methy pills if your friend said te dexedrine high was similiar to your average pill... do you test you pills?
 
I get gram rocks of mdma, definately the real deal, and I was suprised by how similar speed felt the first time I did it. My thoughts were, why does everyone just call this shit mandy, this is suprisingly similar but with an added bonus of being more in control of your actions. I like mdma more and I definately think the empathogenic qualities are very unique and for me were life changing, but that doesn't detract from plain amphetamines. I personally thought the only thing that was missing as such was the empathy, the euphoria and stimulation was almost identical.

I have to agree, the euphoria I got from amphetamines was through the roof for me. Not quite like mdma with the halos around everything and everything extremely bright but it was pretty high up there. I like the euphoria and yeah the empathy isn't as much but on speed I was just on a mission. When I was at the club it was dance, get girls, talk, go for a smoke and repeat for five hours. Basically danced for five hours straight on that stuff with no breaks hahaha.

Then you keep using... chasing that euphoria as it gets further and further away from you... yeah, amphetamine's euphoria is pretty great. At first. Tolerance builds fast and soon you're getting all side effects and none of the effects you want, yet you keep dosing to try and bring back that orgasm you had the first few hours. Speed turns into a dirty drug rather quickly.. MDMA can stay beautiful for years :D
 
Yeah I'd take your word for it. I haven't done it for over a year, never had a comedown from it and loved how much energy I had. I can't ever find it though, I know there's gotta be speed but I legit can't find anything other than mdma, coke, weed and shrooms (in the summer). Coke is easy to get but I'm not wasting my cash on that shit.

Amen to that brother. Plus although quite a lot of drugs are produced using at best a grey zone code of morals, you are undoubtably giving money to not only bad people by buying coke but some of the worst people on this planet.
 
No dexedrine does not have the same effect as mdma
Dexedrine will certainly make you talk more and it can give you the feeling that you are having a really good conversation.
You might also get to feel pretty horny too. It all depends.
Dexedrine is a nice little high all on it's own, but don't overdo them.
