Does cannabis stores in a glass jar for years degrade, causing headspace to be different?

Had some two year old rs11 in glass jar smoked and ate last night .

First time smoked it seemed bit of headache, second time ,few hours later maybe xed with CBD, then did cardio and no headache.

That said, I did overate which seems to happen more on certain strains and especially how much consumed ( consumed quite a bit more than tolerance or have been)

Question is does THC or CBD cañnabis degrade when stored properly in a glass jar, depending on how old it is ?

im so confused i wrote you a full response and the whole thread just disappeared
Sorry I erased that thread bc after I did cardio I felt better. That said the next day, possibly felt that same headspace ish from rs11, and realized it was worth posting bc it does matter , esp for cannabis connassours, they do store stuff they got many moons ago bc it was some fantastic bud

Do you know if older strains like rs11 stores properly take away from of the other feel good effects , or certain cannabinoids degrade causing it not to be as pleasant as a headspace?

THC will degrade to CBN over time even in glass storage jars

This makes for an ideal late evening/night time smoke as the CBN has body sedative action and promotes healthy sleep (chronic insomniac here , it really does help me sleep sometimes)

strange.
got RS11 from 15months and got headache dizzy from it. no high anymore :/

2-3 months storage

after that chemical processes start to occur. They actually start within the first week but after several months it's like... it's really noticeable.

your weed's still gonna hit, but different and likely much more stoney than you expect

If you're going long-term storage, get some vape-seal bags. Stuff 'em, suck the air out and put that rigid mother fucker in the freezer.

If you look into "cob curing" this cures flowers for 3 months to several years where they get better over time (psychedelic, trippy, stimulant).
The curing conditions are zero oxygen and ~10°C (51F) so there's minimal THC loss.
For best results you want to start with genuine sativa genetics (eg ACE seeds) which AFAIK aren't sold in dispensaries. I don't know how regular dispensary strains will respond but it might actually improve them...

The buds need to be dried to just dry on the outside but moist on the inside before compacting in the cob.

Tip: Once the cobs are cured, dry them but not fully, so they are slightly moist in the centre, then store ina jar or vac seal them for long term storage. If you fully dry the cobs it stops any further curing.
I have cobs vac sealed over 3 years old and they are still as good if not better than when first dried.
As they dry they will become hard like beef jerky and need a knife to cut slices off and break into rocks.
They smoke really easily and should taste refined and very smooth and get you more higher/stoned than the same buds jar cured.

Good on you for giving it a go, as you practice with different states of dry bud going in you will find you can vary the end products consistancy to the point that people you give it to will not believe its cannabis only by smoking it will they believe you. The high is so refined and smooth you will always want you buds cured this way.
