Does Cannabis cause lung cancer?

Hi, I've been told by many, many people that weed doesn't cause cancer. I just read this article, and couldn't tell if it was accurate.

Yeah the media are run by government basically (not directly) so if they wanna get a message out they can basically get people to believe whatever they want. The cannabis causes cancer is bullshit, its been proven to slow cancerous growths (though not proven to kill them). Its the same with the scitzofrenia (sp?) Scare in the media a few years ago. I call BS

If you're worried about Lung cancer, COPD, collapsed lungs, or emphysema from smoking herb get a vaporizer or eat it.

THC has been shown to shrink/reduce carcinogenic tumors but the hot smoke/tars are not good for the throat or lungs but if you're worried either smoke infrequently, vaporize it, or eat it.
