does atmosphere dictate drug choice

Howdy all,
just wondering whether your choice of scene effects you choice of drug eg.
do psy trance fans take more acid?
do the people that go to dome prefer coke?
do those who think dancing is everything take speed, or speedy pills?
do those that don't look for quality MDMA pills?
just a thought... sorry, if it's not relevant JB

no i think its very relevant.... myself i prefer chilling at home with friends, which makes me a big fan of clean MDMA pills...
drum and bass for me goes perfectly with a mixture of dope and uppers...
 
I also find that that taking the wrong drug at a place can be bad, I took half a getafix at virus and it was all too fucken creepy for me, I had to get out big time.
 
When at home with gf...MDMA-me anytime!
When at a friend's party or "entertaining" buddies at home (read : feed the fuckers, keep the green flowing and all ancillaries - damn seagulls!) weed and acid would be the order of the day.
 
Definately drug choice depends on your environment.
I personally don't like dumping at raves anymore cause mdma fucks with my head so much that I make my opinion of the party warped because that is how my view is because of the drugs. I never get around to dancing and if I am on my arse and get all headfuct so I am pilling but not happy, rather bored etc, I get angry at myself and don't enjoy the pill or party. I prefer to have speed at a rave so I have a clear head with lots of energy and then save the pills for the sunday when I am sat around with friends, have done my dancing and can enjoy the pill for what it is.
I prefer pills when I'm just hanging out, and I figured I am paying for the pill, and am paying for the party so might aswell have them seperate and enjoy them both more.

eds-head, imho virus can be pretty intense, drugs or not... it gets pretty, um, in yer face. hehe. the place is too small for the tekkers at times...

personally, I really enjoy pills at raves (I'm into dancing a lot) but like going straight at clubs. um, I think that's just a little quirk, though

lilmonkey, I do dig virus, (if I want an intense experience) just not on 'cid. My new favorite thing is candyflippin' at Teriyaki, for me that scene goes well with those drugs.....and maybe a little speed to keep me up, everything just seems so amusing when you candyflip

weed is good for sitting at home listening to trip-hop and d&b.
mushies are good for wandering around somewhere cool (like a uni

) and climbing on roofs.
i usually take e/spped out, i find i can't go clubbing without one of these.
oh, yeah, beer is good for a hot summer afternoon when you don't have anything to do.

mushies...are good for being out in the bush....
very much sooo, its my favourite thing.....
apart form being in the bush with acid....
I dont think that acid and mushies are that good to go clubbing with i tend to flip out a bit to much...
and usauly have to go chill out side because of this.....
and i think acid and mushies are better during the day.....
but thats only my opionion

thanks for your responses, I guess I am also asking those of you out there go to varying venues (musically and atmospherically), do you alter your intake accordingly?
