Lorazepam is my favorite benzo, hands down (though, i've only tried Lorazepam, Diazepam, Etizolam, Alprazolam, Clonazepam and Phenazepam).
It's decent for anxiety or helping to get sleep in lower doses (0.5-1mg), and stepping up the dose a bit gives me a more enjoyable high than the other benzos, with a lower equivilent dose. It seems to give me a bit of added creativity, too, while other benzos do the opposite.
Xanax is too short, and gives a rebound effect that interferes with sleep, diazepam is good, but more subtle than lorazepam, and without the creativity boost, phenazepam and clonazepam just aren't recreational for me.
Note w/regard to the dose, though I love benzos, I limit my use of them out of fear of tolerance.
