Does anyone like antipychotics?

I'm currently taking 5mg/night of Zyprexa. The dr said it would help with anxiety which may be true because i think i can stay asleep longer. I used to take seroquel too about 200mg.

I'm not sure if they are worth taking ir not. the dr is prescribing them off label for anxiety.

they do help me fall asleep a little easier. they seem to have a very mild hangover too.

im just wondering what other ppls opinions are on antipychotics
they hav e sometimes been a huge help for me at times where i just want to sleep

Which do u think is the best AP consitering least side effects, effectiveness & how bad the hangover is?

I wish i knew about APs when i used to drink cuz i alwayhs had bad insomnia for the next couple of days after drinking alot & ofcourse form speed/E ya get to the point where all ya wanna do is sleep but end up just laying there all night. it's well worth the AP hangover for those situations.

benzos just arnt practical for bad insomnia because ya have to take way to many before ya actually just wanna go to sleep. usual ppl will just get calm & wanna stay up to enjoy it.
so i dont have insomnia anymore because of APs & ya can take different doses depending on how bad ya insomnia is. I'd certainly prefer a mild hangover over a night with only a few hrs sleep.

Im mainly interested in what ppl think is the most practical AP. & what dose is good.

I find 5mg zyprexa good for mild insomna & it has fairly little side effects. its precribed up to 20mg but that would only be practical to use when comin down from stims. even 20mg is a bit much.
problem is with zyprexa is has a long half life so it can leave ya tired the next day.

Ive tried seroquel. I used to take 150-300mg/night it kicks in quick unlike zyprexa & also has a shorter halfm life so it doesnt leave ya as tired for as long as zyprexa but its effects are a little more trippy than zyprexa.

so, who out there has tried APs?
what's your experiences with them?
have they helped with anxiety, stress, psychotic symptons, come downs etc?

Anon54, you've made a few threads like this (about psychiatric meds).. this is really not the right place, it is something for you and your doctor to discuss. There are a wide range of antpsychotics with varying degrees of side effects and they are not something to be taken lightly, on the advice of people on an internet forum - especially a forum designed to discuss HR with respect to recreational drugs.

I am very wary of anyone using antipsychotics for anything other than their prescribed purpose, as they do have a lot of side effects..
