Wondering if anyone knows the relative safety for IV administration of the Barr Pharmaceuticals generic Adderall (Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine)?
Is it something everyone knows to avoid like the plague, or is it commonly IVed, etc?

Pill description:

Orange oval pill.

DailyMed gives the following inactive ingredients:

"colloidal silicon dioxide, compressible sugar, corn starch, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and saccharin sodium"

http://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?id=15499

Although Dailymed doesn't identify the pill itself visually. That is for the Barr Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine.

The main ingredient that stands out as unusual is the 'colloidal silicon dioxide'. Does anyone know how dangerous this is to prep for IV? Will standard cottons filter it out?

I've "heard" 'saccharin sodium' can mess up the blood sugar. Anyone know about the dangers of this ingredient?

How about corn starch? Does a cotton filter that out?

Don't shoot these pills. The effects are simply not worth it. While I haven't personally done it, I did consider it before reading reports of others doing it here on BL...turns out there isn't much of a rush and it is over very quickly.

If you eat them, they last longer. If you eat them on an empty stomach, they hit pretty hard. You can chew them up and use antacids to potentate the effects.
