Heroin Does anyone know how much immodium (Loperamide) to take to help with H withdrawal?

So I've relapsed lately on heroin after more than a year of being clean :\

Anyway I'm trying to kick again but I am having a hard time doing it cold turkey. I keep getting through day one and then I cave on the second day and I buy a small bag to help make myself feel normal.

I know that immodium the anti diarrhea medicine can help with withdrawals. I just don't know how much to take. Does anybody know the proper dose one should take to get through withdrawal?
 
Some people go really overboard IMO. I have always stayed below 20mg, usually taking between 12-16mg. That's enough to get my appetite going again so I can eat, calm my stomach down so I don't need to run to the bathroom, and it seems to help a bit with the restless legs and anxiety too at that dose. Don't expect miracles from it though, but as long as your habit isn't that crazy then that amount should help.
 
Start with taking 3 tablets (each 2 mg) See if you feel relief. If not after a couple hours you can take 2 more, etc. It's safe to load up on them.
My gastro doc used to prescribe Lomotil which worked better for me.
 
It will help you sleep, or at least, it does for me. Loperamide is a weird fucking drug. I have only used it about 4 times. The first time I used 72mg, the second time 120mg, and then 60mg and 28mg.

Seem people really claime to get high off of loperamide, which is something I've never really experienced, though at 80mg and up, I did notice some pronounced effects that were definately reminiscent of an opioid (which loperamide is), though it was more of a body high than anything else. However, since it does relax your muscles, reduce pain, sweats etc.. In turn it also reduces anxiety. I used loperamide the last time just two days ago and it kind of made me realize how much my mental state is affected by my physical state. Before This last experience I was pretty sure that loperamide did cross the BBB, but now I'm not so sure, I wonder how much of the desirable effects of opiates that do cross the BBB are actually caused by receptors located in the peripheral nervous system rather than just the CNS.

Anyway, I would dose 20mg and see how that makes you feel. The effects can last a long time to hit you, so give it a good 2-3 hours (honestly, I can start to feel it work within 40 minutes).
 
When I have been in W/D I have used 40mg of Lope to take me 100% out of it.

I take alot of pills tho.. 4x 8mg Dilaudid 4x 4mg Dilaudid and 3x 100mg MS Contin daily. That is what I am prescribed anyway.. alot of times I run out early so actual usage is more than that.
 
No wonder they didn't work so well for me as the lomotil. I wasn't taking nearly enough as above posters did. So instead of buying the package of 24 tablets, you would probably need the economy sized bottle of 100. You can buy them at Walmart or CVS as a generic brand to save money. Good luck.
