Hello there my fellow bluelighters, my girlfriend has endomitriosis and I want to try and help her deal with it. Are any of you experienced with this 'disease'? Helping her would mean a great deal to me as she is in pain quite a lot. I have read that birth control pills lower the pain, but my girlfriend says they don't affect her in that way.

Anyone know of any treatments or remedies?

Thanks

*EDIT* - Hope I didn't post this in the wrong place, thanks mods!

Two of my coworkers have undergone surgery (cystectomy of the endometrium. Hormonal therapy like what you have mentioned (birth control pills) might also alleviate the pain.

Have her join some support groups on Facebook. There are many of them, secret or closed. I'm so sorry that she suffers from this.

If she's not interested in having kids, get her to look into an endometrial ablation. I had one done years ago and absolutely zero regrets. Changed my life, but I was also done having kids too.

I know two people who have this well one of them had a hysterectomy about 6 years ago and now no longer suffers my other friend goes in to hospital ever couple of years for laser treatment. the one who has laser treatment uses heat packs its a wheat one you can microwave, she also does yoga a couple of times a week, she gave up using the tens machine after one of them seemed to burn through the pad and she got a shock but she never thought it really worked. She also uses an essential oil mix with chamomile, ginger and clove oil, I think it is in an almond base she said but it might be worth you treating your girlfriend to a visit to an aromatherapist and see what they suggest :)
