Does anyone else have a naturally high opiate tolerance?

25mg of hydrocodone is what it takes to get a strong buzz for me, and that's with absolutely no tolerance. I've literally gone half a year without touching opiates, and that's still what it took. And I'm only 130 pounds. It just doesn't seem right for me to be able to handle that much when friends of mine can get higher off of 10mg. Does anyone else have a naturally high tolerance for opiates like this? What factors might I not be considering?
 
i've read articles that theorize some people with mental disorders (like BPD) have less natural opiate production than a normal person. just a thought, could be completely wrong
 
Well even back then I never went over 25 of hydro or 15 of oxy. And I don't know about them not wanting to get as fucked up, because I remember everyone popping Percocet 5s and I was the only one that didn't feel anything. And at my max dose (25mg of hydro like once a month tops) I function perfectly fine. Idk man.

To dickbutt, I do have pretty serious anxiety and depression issues, so I'm sure I have less dopamine than average. I guess that's a likely reason.
 
I too suffer from anxiety disorder and depression. I only use opiates every few months now, and it takes me at least 20mg of hydrocodone to feel a slight buzz. I totally agree that these type of mental disorders could hinder the effects of opiates. I wonder if there is any documented research on this subject?
 
I'd like to know if there is anything documented on this also.....my tolerance for opiates has always been crazy high....I also have some mental disorders however I do not take any medication for that except klonopin...and that's for seizures as well as anxiety. I've also always had a very high tolerance for benzos....???
 
I've never had a high tolerance to benzos. 1mg of Xanax will make people ask if I'm drunk lol. But I'd also like to see some articles on mental disorders hindering the full effect of opiates if anyone has seen them.
 
I have a low tolerance to opiates, but have a friend that had zero tolerance & took an original oxycontin 80 back in 2003 & got really high but didn't get sick.

I know if I took the same, I would have ended up in the hospital......it seems he has a high tolerance to most things.

As for the mental disorders messing with tolerance.......I could see that.
 
My tolerance is high, but not naturally. It's from years of heroin abuse. I'm clean from heroin now and have been for over a year, but on the occasion I will pop a perk or oxy and it will take at least 3-4 times the dose that my friends would need to get loaded.
