Does anyone else find that on oxy their eyes hurt and noise bothers them....

On oxycodone IR, it seems that my eyes begin to get sore...and noise begins to bothers me....and I become a bit irritable. I don't know if its because I sit for too long staring at the computer when the meds kick in... or what. But I suspect it has something to do with things slowing down inside, and me kind of being in my own little world when the meds are in full effect. I can sit for much longer and work on the computer, but it seems that I sit for too long maybe?

I don't know what the noise thing, or the irritation is about...


Also, I seem to get a sort of pinching feeling in the back of my neck, that coffee sort of helps with...its like a headache sort of.... and it maybe from sitting too long, and not feeling the need to move around as much...aka being stagnant.


I am just curious, does anyone else these symptoms??


I am in pain management and take about 90-110 mg of oxycodone IR per day...

Have never experienced nor heard of that issue.

Sounds like it has nothing to do with the meds but you sitting at computer too long.

No, it actually may be the oxy. I was on a bunch of them and they dry you out, so yes your eyes could hurt. I keep drops with me at all times and it helps! Also, I think the oxy makes you hyper aware of things around you and anything loud or out of the ordinary can get to me, at least. When I'm on it, I can't stand driving with someone yapping non-stop. It gives me a headache and I finally have to snap and say, please stop talking. I think what you're experiencing is very normal.

Reading the topic I thought you meant opiate itch... Never had that happen, but I had a weird reaction to tylenol 3 with codeine. My hands felt like they were covered in, and being bit by, hundreds of ants all at the same time and it didnt stop until the next day. On top of that my hands got very swollen. Only my hands tho... hm.

As an irregular user, I experience this every time I dose any opiate, but especially stronger ones such as heroin or oxycodone.

Also, if the pinching feeling is sort of like a twitch (myoclonic twitch/hypnic jerk), I experience that as well and my understanding is that both of these symptoms are common.
