Does anyone else ever get this?

Ok well a few months ago snorting things would not get me high like oxy, vikes, tramadol and any opiate but taking them orally would do good very good. now a couple months have passed and when i take it orally get a slight buzz? but when i snort whoa its way better. anyone else have this?

oxy is better orally than snorted, but orally will always hit slower, no matter how well its absorbed. snorting is more an instant gratification thing, but for some drugs it works more effectively. you'd probably have to compare it drug by drug but also take tolerance into account. i'm guessing at this point you're doing better with snorting just cuz its more rapid, even factoring in your tolerance.

oh yeah and seriously you were snorting vicodin and tramadol? don't do that. too much binder and tylenol up the nose is not the greatest thing you can do for your body. if you're going to snort stick to drugs that have only water soluble opiates in them as the active ingredients. i'm thinking oxycontin/codone, dilaudid, opana here.
 
Tolerance is a bitch. You're offsetting the tolerance with increased bioavailability, but soon you'll take even more and get less high in return. Tis how people end up on the spike.

The only opioid pharmaceutical I've snorted would be Suboxone, just because its so damn potent, but I definitely agree the effects are better snorted than say, sublingual (as intended).

Not sure about the others besides oxy though, tramadol seems like it would be best enjoyed orally (owing to the relative complexity of effects), and vicodin sounds like trying to snort a cinder-block. But yeah, you're just briefly increasing bioavailability. Try chemical potentiation if you feel you aren't getting sufficient effect, because its probably just a question of tolerance.
 
you shouldn't snort vicodin; you're putting 500mg of APAP (acetaminophen) up your nose...why would you want to do that? anyway really the only pill anybody should really snort are pills like oxycontin, roxicodone (oxycodone 15mg & 30mg instant release). don't snort percocets or tramadol...just...don't.
 
Like thelung said, you're snorting trams and vics ? Man...

But yes, your tolerance is just getting higher. It's a pretty natural thing. The only thing you can do is work on lowering that by taking your opiates less often or in lesser quantity. Soon ( maybe a few weeks depending ) your tolerance will lower and you'll get back to that feeling you once had when snorting the oxy, or swallowing it for that matter. Taper down a bit for a week or 2.

Back to the vicodin thing. If you don't want to swallow them you should CWE and take it like that.
 
I've seen highschool kids at a party crush up Vicodin/Lortab (Hydrocodone with APAP 5/500mg tablets) and put the crushed tab on top of a bowl of weed and smoke it through a glass weed pipe. I was like ''uh...wow....seriously!?"
 
all i know is that every time ive snorted something, it like pretty much never worked, or didnt work nearly enough (except coke and adderall)

i mean opiate pills, to me snorting them is a total waste, ive always had the best and longest highs from eating them
 
thelung... i got to say like 7 years back when i was in high school i actually did smoke a bowl that my friend crushed darvocet and put it on top, he called it a sno cap... it didnt improve the high of the weed at all, just made it harder to burn, and afterwards i realized how totally retarded it was, and was probably very toxic
