Is it just me that thinks that Adele needs some friends or psychiatric help or at very least anti-depressants?
Fuck sake. This long awaited album (30) that everybody is banging on about (although sales are apparently not going as well as expected). Jesus. I've never heard/seen such depressing lyrics. And this constant melancholy wailing. Mental image that comes to mind is a wounded porpoise (couldn't use whale anymore for obvious reasons).
On satellite (cable to ya'll) we got a two hour "special" on tonight live concert and that includes an interview with Oprah. I cannot fucking wait. And I've no choice but to be subjected to this. So there goes Saturday night!
Not that I had anything better to do (fuck that's sad). Come to think of it: I've not been pissed for over two years now and I happen to know that there's a bottle of Jack Daniels in the cupboard! Maybe tonight is the night i.e. make it fucking bearable!
And while I'm on the topic: something that's perplexed me my entire life. Why are most pop songs about love or breakups or unrequited love or some shit? Something along the lines of country music i.e. the bottle is empty, the dog has died, the crop has failed, the wife has left, you get the picture. I've seriously wondered about this my entire life. Unlike hard rock or metal i.e. I know of exactly one metal song that even hints at love and is as depressing as shit (but that due to the circumstances under which it was released). Ya know: my genre of music along the lines of "I am the Devil and I wanna fuck your mother"!
That comes from the below video incidentally. Dunno how many of you, if any, remember or know of Billy Connolly. The original 80's/90's Scottish equivalent of today's US Bill Burr! Video is about music (Christian Rock to be precise).
