Stimulants Does 30mg Adderall xr release the does at 2 different intervals?

I had been wondering this for quite some time now. I was under the impression that in any mg adderall xr, say for instance 30mg, 15mg is released instantly and another 15mg 4 or so hours later thus adding up to 30mg. Or does it mean that when you take an adderall xr you will get the effect of 30mg of amphetamine constantly for 8 hours...? I feel like it has to be one of the two.

From what I understand the Adderall XR time release works with the first dose (half of the pill's beads) releasing instantly and the other half of the beads get released in your system roughly 4 hours later.

This has always been my general understanding, and I've been taking them for years.

IMO it feels as if the first dose is stronger than the first, but this is probably just my experience

if you look closely at the beads, half the beads are a darker color orange than the other half, so im assuming one of those colors are instant release (half the capsule) and the other color dissolves sometime later (im guessing within 1hr after ingestion it starts to dissolve) Adderall XR and Adderall IR, i think have the same length of duration in my opinion.
