So i ended up taking some rancid flips on the weekend from what I've read and heard about PMA it is what seemed to be in these.

If you start having a really bag ping what should you do to get through it?
 
Theres no exact answer to your question. Firstly you need to make sure you dont get in this position in the first place. Check sites like Pillreports but most importantly test your pills!! The best way to get threw it is to always stay with somone and stay hydrated. Just tell yourself that it will eventually be over (i do this on bad trips). And if ever in doubt go to a hospital!

sitting and riding it out could end pretty badly for some people with the shit thats in pills these days lol.
 
Yeah +1 for the advice Andy!

Especially if the OP does think it could possibly be PMA. The "safe" (clearly by this I mean a small enough dose not to kill you/make you seriously ill) margin is so small I personally wouldn't risk it.

It's really only the OP's decision - you've got to weigh up the risk/consequence of if it is and you've ingested above this point and you don't verses if you do go to the ED. Only your decision mate.

What makes you think it is PMA? Unless it is tested the problem with PMA is that it's effects vary between individuals, even the same batch. Some people get that MDMA euphoria where as plenty just experience hallucinations, and not very pleasant ones at that.

There is a fine line with dosing, small amounts may appear euphoric where as as little as a second pill can be fatal. Hyperthermia (overheating) accompanied by vomitting/nausea is a alert that you should seek medical attention. It is difficult to treat requiring external and internal cooling as well as benzo's and alpha or beta blockers.

If you do escape serious effects the comedowns are horrific.
 
What was the colour and press of the pill?

Could you elaborate on what the nite was like, if any other drugs were involved and how much you had.

PMA is a very serious and dangerous chemical that is rarely used in pills but does still happen. A time line of your night would be helpful to as PMA takes much longer to kick in then what MDxx substances do.

Plenty of other things it could have been too, without more information not much we can say to help.

As far as getting through a bad ping, it's important to keep hydrated. Finding somewhere to sit and trying to take deep slow breaths is advised too. If you start to feel too sick making sure your friends know whats going on and seek help if neccesary.

Also the biggest thing as mentioned, is getting your pills tested. If you have had a really bad experience you'll understand the importance of testing. Also if you do confirm they were PMA, make sure you tell your dealer and tell him to flush his stash or his gonna lose customers or even worse, be responsible for killing someone.

Ts14 just a quick question, if a dealer sells pills to someone which ends up resulting in their death can they be done for manslaughter or something along those lines?
 
I'd imagine so, if they were sold as something that they weren't.

But I'm not a legal expert. It's an interesting issue really, to which I have mixed feelings about. As Sameria said they tried to pin it on someone in Perth but if he sold them as PMA, I don't think the dealer should be able to get done for it, because ultimately everyone is at risk for what they put into their own body.

I think it would be very hard to get someone for this crime, I'd love to hear more input from someone who knows though.
 
I remember reading about that story Belarki . That said i dont know how i feel about the issue. I dont think people should be criminally prosecuted if the drugs they sold killed someone. One part of me wants to say yes but another part keeps questioning things such as should we then start prosecuting dealers that sold shards/mushys ect because someone went psycotic and jumped off a balcony or somone died of lung failure due to years of smoking lung irretants such as msm or whatnot.. i know its not quite the same but that would have to be thought about in one way or another.

If the drugs are sold as what they are and the user takes them willingly then he or she is the one taking the risk. I think people selling drugs as something else should be investigated. They should be investigated as any other business that has a product that has killed some one.

The manslaughter charge was dropped.

In April 2010 the manslaughter charge against Wilhelm was dropped after he pleaded guilty to supplying a prohibited drug to Brimble.

This woman was charged after Annabel Catt died from what she thought was mdma but later tested to be PMA back in '07.

The Mona Vale woman turned herself into Dee Why police station yesterday after an investigation by detectives into the supply of drugs at the event.

Police said she was charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug. She was granted conditional bail and will appear at Manly Local Court on March 21.

The development comes as the initial results of a toxicology report on Ms Catt's death showed the hallucinogenic drug paramethoxyamphetamine, or PMA, was present in her blood.

I've been taking pills for quite some time and have tested most of what i've consumed, and never personally been sold a PMA pill. The nice thing about the drug trade is that if a sketchy batch of pills comes out the word spreads quickly, and people avoid or return said pills. No dealer wants to kill a customer so in a sense there is quality control. In this age of pillreports.com and pill testers we are far more informed as to what we are taking, which is awesome. I don't think PMA (prove me wrong?) is any easier to make than MDMA. I have heard of about 3 or so batches of PMA pills (one of which was a batch of 'MDMA' powder in capsules) in my whole drug career, so imo it doesn't hit the streets often. Cooks know it is dodgy, so they aren't going to waste time and money manufacturing it. It just boils down to being smart - test your pills and try and get a reliable dealer, if you can.

As I have just found out that someone I know may be getting done for manslaughter for selling oxycontin.
I reckon it's pretty fucked, cause he sold them to someone who used to be a heroin addict and should've had some tollerance.
He told him only to have one half and said exactly what was in it. The guy took a full pill anyway and I'm saddened to say he passed away from it.
If other substances or alcohol was involved I am unsure of though.
I feel very sorry for the guy who has passed away but I don't wanna see a good man go to jail for manslaughter.

I agree that in the eyes of the law he should get done for dealing but not for something that he had no control over.
