"doda" A NEW DRUG KIDS ARE USING? I love how narcotics cops know nothing about drugs

Poppy straw (the leftover plant material of the poppy, ranging from seeds, stems, heads, flowers, etc) has been used for what, 6000 years?

The problem isn't the article, it is the assholes who run this shop and sell drugs willingly and knowingly in an obscenely obvious way to teenagers.

This is why drugs that are not controlled or who aren't having their status enforced get to be controlled and have their status enforced. These guys in this 'meat shop' are obviously very poor and uneducated, trying to make a quick dollar. The problem is they have done what white skinned bourgois Westerners hate the most: they've come into the community, run an illegitimate business in town, sell drugs, sell drugs to kids.

I like what Burroughs said on the subject in Junky, when the first wave of 'Save our children from narcotics peddlers!' propaganda hit:

"who would want kids for customers anyway? They never have any money, they tell their parents everything and will spill under questioning without even being asked to"

I think some creative writing, revisionist history/pseudo-anthropology and political correctness could save poppy straw from having its Schedule II status enforced: Religious sacrament. Old religious cults of yesteryear did use the poppy as a sacrament (some say Opium cults used to exist). Proving the existance of an ancient religion that uses the poppy as a sacrament in rituals, claiming to be of that religion, and getting a pro bono ACLU/other nonprofit attorney to fight for you like the Native American Church and Peyote, the Brazilian/Amazonian DMT cult, could probably result in an exception to the law being made in the case of members of that group. After all, the poppy is a plant with scheduled drugs in it, like Peyote and Mimosa Hostilis/Zebra grass/etc, why not give the Opium cult an excemption under the law as well?

Good god damn point. Insightful as always Tchort.

This is the type of ignorance legalization would end, out right reefer madness type shit. I love when there isn't one scientific fact in the article, just a bunch of propoganda how can this media outlet repsect themselves? And to the dude sayig poppies have shown you the light, sounds like you don't realize you are still taking the same drugs.

This is something allot of people don't realize. After years of pod use, you can easily have a habit that will rival a gram of dope.

IME, I tried to go from pods to heroin(thinking it would be cheaper). My tolerance was so incredibly high, that the first half gram of smack I ever bought didn't even get me high..... Come to find, it would take me well over 1.5g snorted to get where 60 to 80 grams pod would get me.

So, I guess the point is, pods aren't really something to mess around with, IF you don't realize that what you are taking is indeed a powerful opioid.
holy SHIT, isnt that like 15 tablespoons of powder!? and i thought i had a huge tolerance to pods! (then again with all the tagamet i use to potentiate, maybe mine is somewhat close to there.. havent had access to illicit opiates in a long while so i dont know what dose i am at for "normal opiate pill without tagamet aide")

i dont want to see your bank account, it has to be worse than mine, and my parents are helping me with my bank account lol

@ garuda, switching to suboxone is a personal decision, i am in your boat (without the suicidal depression) i hope things work out. im going to see how well subox maintains me after pods, itll be so much more convenient to take a pill every day or twice a day, no taking pods with hidden Fungi, and being able to **travel** since itll be a legit prescription. i have a rather high pod tolerance, though i recently reduced it quite a bit (Pain!). im just worrying that, since subox loses a lot of its effects, maybe it wont cure depression and anxiety and diarea and et al like pods do, maybe not at all. that may mean relapse if the subox doesnt help with those things

if you want ill let you know how subox works if i get into a program

exactly, he went from taking heroin to now taking morphine/codeine, which is nearly the same thing. only difference is that pods are much easier to obtain and MUCH cheaper overall than heroin so it makes it much easier to maintain a habit of pods rather than heroin.

Ok, not to sound like some goody good or what ever but... opium tea IS addictive and people DO get hooked on it. Im glad it is available for me to buy when i please.. if it wasnt i probably would just grow my own though.

^ I'm not sure what you are getting at in your post but... you could replace 'opium tea' with just about any substance. That doesn't mean it should be banned outright. People are always going to misuse things for recreational purposes, it's in our nature and the sooner that governments recognize this and work to make it safer then the better off we all will be.

lol I had to google this one =p I was pretty sure it was going to be Kratom or something, haha didn't think it would be plain ol pods they were freaking out about this time...

CRAFT AND HOBBY STORES ACROSS THE COUNTRY GETTING HIT LIKE MJ DISPENSERIES! EEK! hehe

Apparently it must have been Indian immigrants selling "doda".

In India a concoction known as "doda pani" is the result of steeping poppy straw (powderized dried poppy pods) in water overnight (~10hrs) and then drinking the resulting liquid.

The names "dode" and "doda" were derived from the Indian name for the brew. In India doda-pani is commonly used as a method of treating addiction to "brown sugar", the crude form of heroin sold in India.

here's two links describing "doda pani" in India:

//This link has multiple "articles" preaching the evils of Dode in Canada.

Here's another link talking about how SCARY "doda" is in Canada:

Exactly. SWIM doesn't spend 400 dollars a week on H, he spends 200 dollars a month on Pods. (which is cheaper than his doctor visits + prescription of Suboxone was)

I never took heroin, I knew pods were just giving me opium which is primarily morphine.

The miracle was discovering how effective an antidepressant opium is, it was also a miracle how cheap pods were and easy to obtain. I could have never in a million years afforded a daily dose of illicit pharmaceuticals. Opium's long half life let me dose once a day and maintain a stable bright mental state with the only side effects being slight constipation and dependence.

im going with 'the cops and public and parents have the right to be concerned if there is infact a growing rate of people, specifically teenagers, addicted to opiates/PPT'.

It's your right as a human

All you did was find a readily available source of morphine and codeine. You act like you were saved by some miracle. They're not a fucking miracle.

And why would you have to lie to get into a suboxone program? It's not exactly difficult; from what you've said in this thread already, you'd easily be accepted without lying. There's always Kratom. Or tramadol. Or methadone.

Or, alternatively, you could quit using. Right now all you're doing is taking another recreational opiate that happens to be more easily available.

I am not 100% sure but this Hammilton7093635 guy sounds like my brother who in fact died back in April from some bad H
this Doda stuff maybe just as good as H but I don't think anyone has the right to say what I can or can not put in my body that don't mean that we should be selling them to kids though people like that should get the S#!T kick out of them that was the way it was when and where I grew up the hardest drug I could buy when I was in high school was LSD and zoomers.
I saw on the news one night that this doda stuff was being grown and sold world wide by the Talaban that's right Bin Ladin's pussy ass group of brown eye pounders so next time you think about buying something like this just remember what it is funding

If you get high on doda the terrorists win.

And when you pay your taxes that money goes to the government, and they don't exactly stand for and do the same things you agree with all the time.

Just saying

next time you buy maple syrup please remember that much of the money goes to fund the ultra-violent Quebecois seperatists. How many more disabled children need to be ritualistically decapitated before you just say NON! to those pancakes and have the buttered toast instead???

I don't think anyone has the right to tell ANYONE what they can or can't put in their bodies this doda stuff is cheep yes but it's better then getting that crappy "H" that has been floating around and safer too but one still has to be careful how much they are taking though don't be a dumb ass and over do it and another thing if your saying you trying to save the kids try talking to them and I mean really talk to them and give them the REAL facts about them the good and the bad and not try to impersonate that teacher from south park by saying "drugs are bad ooookkkkkk" and when I was a kid if you were caught selling hard drugs to anyone too young to vote or buy a drink at the bar it wasn't the cops you have to worry about it was everyone on the streets let's bring that back eh

and oh yea it's a plant

QFT! I myself choose to go with waffles.
Making sure to use an appropriate mix of blueberries, strawberries & whipped cream to show my American patriotism of course.
Regardless if I do choose to use maple syrup I ensure that it's locally sourced from a trustworthy individual so as not to support such terrible groups.
I shudder to think of the vast amount of money that is funneled to these seperatists without most people even considering there actions!
It's a really sad state of affairs.

While that guy under the bridge laying cable does a double whammy with the necro troll attack I figured I'd join the fun. ;)
