This is partly in response to the thread about legit medication use and the suggestion that Bluelight adopt such a section. ''Not on these boards'' seemed to be the general opinion & the thread was closed.

Why not? There is a 'healthy living' section here, so why not this?

There seems to be a prejudice against certain drugs here (anti-depressants), and I *foolishly* went to the docs after a phenazepam binge. I thought I was acting fine, but no. I've now been put on the sick & cannot do my job (truck driver) until I've seen a neurologist in october. They think I've had a mini-stroke or something. I've seen the doc since (several weeks later, back to normal), & she admitted that I now seem fine BUT she cannot stop the process now because I've been referred to see this 'specialist' in october...so I can't work.

Doctors DO get it wrong, they just love to write scripts, often innappropiately, causing problems not to them but to YOU.

Think about it mods...recreational drug users sometimes have to go to the doctors/hospital and its more than likely they'll mis-diagnose because you didn't mention the pods, or the mephedrone etc etc.

Think about it.

They don't understand it. They deleted my organic synthesis posts in advanced drugs section because they think I'll do it in real life and put the product in my veins...it's hopeless, it's all these people think about, putting stuff in their veins ^_^

Certainly and obviously doctors can get it wrong . Wrong DX, wrong combinations of meds that clash but on the whole and viewed from my perspective, I would have been blind and died a protracted miserable death without them.
Psych docs have only the DSM, education, work experience and newly emerging research to be guided by .
Not quite like inspecting an xray, blood chemistry, etc. I have had only one of quite a few P-docs that was utterly competent and did a fine job discovering the cause of my misery.

yeah, i went hospital and no one knew what Phenazepam or BZP was.

The dude is full of awesome retorts....

Anyways, I agree with you. A section dedicated to proper use of prescribed drugs could be very useful.

The only thing I don't agree with is the whole not trusting your doctor's opinion.

If you don't tell your doctor everything about your condition or your habits, that's on you. I tell my doctor everything. The more information they have, the better the diagnosis will be....not to mention the fact that your doctor should be the one person you are 100% honest with at all times....especially if your sick in some way.

But, this is a harm-reduction site. Some users do not follow the whole "honesty with doctors" opinion that I have. With that being said, I feel a section dedicated to the proper use of prescriptions could be very useful.

But I understand why people would say "not on this board." This website is for the safe way to use drugs (prescribed or not) recreationally. There is thousands of other websites on the web that specifically cater to proper use of prescribed meds.

If u wanna ask questions about drugs ask it, and say ur talking about prescription use not getting high. Gee problem solved. Bluelight doesnt need a forum like that like the mods stated in the thread you talked about because this site is harm reduction for recreational use incase you missed that post. Theres lots of drug forms specifically for the legal use of prescription drugs, thats where you should be if thats what you want. This site is mostly ppl who abuse drugs so thats what there knowledge is on, go to one of the forms dedicated to what your talking about if bluelight isnt the type of site your looking for its simple

People post about proper use of prescription medicines in OD. They usually just have to make it clear they are talking about as-prescribed-use, not recreational use.

So you went to see the company Dr. on phenazepam and they said you shouldn't drive a 40 ton truck until they figured out why you were acting that way? Doctors certainly make mistakes, but this one is on you. But yes, I don't think such a forum would be a bad idea but I dought it would get much traffic, probably not enough to warrent the effort it would take.

^^^Agreed

....(I liked the way you spelled "doubt" with a "gh"....reminds me of donuts for some reason):)???

i'm really not seeing much point to this thread so i'm going to close it. if you'd like it reopened then pm me and explain what exactly you're trying to achieve from this.

it seems like you're having a light dig at us moderators. if you've got a problem with one of our decision then do the courteous thing and send a pm to one of us instead of airing this out for everyone to see.
