So, I see three doctors. Doctor A I have been going to prescribes me medication for anxiety (effexor and xanax) but i chunk the effexor because its horse shit. Doctor B prescribes medication for sciatic nerve pain/slipped disc in my back. (Hydrocodone). Doctor C, my new doctor I am supposed to visit tomorrow, I am going to try and get pain medication from him, because the hydrocodone they gave me OBVIOUSLY isn't enough to do a damned thing and work effectively for someone with opiod abuse history like myself.

Ideally, I want Doctor C to write me a script for pain medications. If he can write me a script for pain medications, and more anxiety meds that would be great, then I would only have to see one doctor. I am just trying to get my pain meds early without having to go back to Doctor B and raise eyebrows and them think I am "scamming them for meds". I am not scamming (I used to) but my back is fucked up for real, and lortabs just dont cut it.

Then I also have to consider the pharmacy. I usually use walgreens for doctor A and B, so should I use CVS for Doctor C ?

I could always obtain shit illicitly, but I would rather get a steady script. It's cheaper, helps my back more, and its just easier to deal with a pharmacy than some greedy shitheads around here. I have been diagnosed with a problem, so hell, why not use that to my advantage?

Should I just "confess" to Doctor C that I am "tired of seeing other doctors and just want one true doctor that fixes me up" ? How the fuck should I approach all this. Kind of a mess I know.

Keep to one pain doctor and tell them that it is not enough if that is true. As for effexor, it's actually pretty effective for anxiety, and even pain.

If doctor B is a joke & won't listen to you & give you what you need for pain because lortabs are doing the job, try doctor C, but I would never tell doctor C you've been to 2 other doctors trying to get pain meds to help with your pain.

Its a tough spot you're putting yourself in because what if he asks you if you see any other doctors or the questionnaires do & you lie & he finds out?

You are allowed to go to other doctors in hopes of finding a doctor that is willing to help you & your pain.......once you do, don't go back to doctor B.

Last thing you want is to get in trouble for getting pain meds from 2 different doctors.

Now a days its so hard to find a decent doctor willing to help someone with pain........

We can't advise you what to say to doctors in order to get prescriptions as this is against forum guidelines.
