Do you wash?

I wash my face every day, usually shower every other day and always wash my hair in the shower. Unless I've done somethign to get sweaty in which case I'll do a "neck down" shower.

I use Proactiv on my face
Dove Energizing citrus body wash and LOVE it, plus my loofah is super rough so I get very exfoliated.

I agree although I think with longer hair you've got to wash it more often, I learned this only recently as my hair is pretty long for a dude (usually only trim it a few times a year) and if I go more than a couple days without washing it I'll start looking like a greaseball.

Hair long or short does not need to be washed, AT ALL! This is a myth manufactured by the cosmetic industry. If you start washing your hair every day, like most of the population in developed countries, then stop then yes your hair will get greassy and/or unmaneagable. But go through this and never wash your hair and you have no problem. Your hair cleans itself and takes care of itself. I probably havent washed my hair for almost a year and its not remotely greassy or blatently dirty and i have long dreads down to my waist. Sure when i have a shower, very rarely these days, i will rinse it. I love baths but unfortunately only have a crappy little shower. If i had a bath would use it probably every day though i wouldnt shampoo!;)

I shower once a day in the evening and wash my face in the shower. I also give it a quick rinse(no soap) when I wake up.

What about hair? I hear a lot of people say they rarely wash their hair. If I don't wash mine every day it feels dirty to me. That's probably neurotic. :\

Your hair is short so you can get away with that.

When my hair was much longer ( about shoulder length ) I used to skip shampooing it every day. Letting the natural oils build up seemed to make it more manageable and healthy looking. I have very thick hair.

I still find that shampooing it daily tends to dry it out more than I like.

Of course I shampoo it lightly after a night at the bar smoking and drinking.

If I dont shower at least once a day I become paranoid that I smell. I shower every morning, and if I'm going out in the evening/going to have sex then I'll shower in the evening too. Rarely wash my face (except with water in the shower) and I have very clear skin, which others have commented on too.

I broke up with my most recent GF who didnt shower regularly and as a result had BO. Even though she was the most beautiful of all my previous GF's, I had to let her go. Someone who smells isnt pleasant to be around. Woman, and men, take heed...

Well this thread has inspired me!

Today I bought a facial cleanser, an exfoliant, and "body butter" (which I assume is a moisturizer) - the latter two marketted as being made from completely natural extracts.

I used them today, and I must say, I like the feeling I'm getting after rubbing my whole body with this butter... haha.

I shower once every other day normally, only wash my face if it is noticeably dirty. I rarely get spots on my face and my skin doesnt seem greasy. I do drink ALOT of water though.

Most of the time I shower and wash my hair every other day, but sometimes more often if I've done anything requiring exertion, am on holiday somewhere hot, or have a few occasions to go to/need to be presentable. At festivals of course, this goes out the tent-flap, but I usually try to clean myself with wipes as much as possible :)

I shower my face when I get up in the morning along with my teeth. In the evening I just remove the make-up and dirt and put some moisturizer. I shower every other day, or every day if I've been at the gym =) Once a week it's time for face & body mask. I also sometimes save up to go to this spa center where they make detox massages with honey and it sucks off dirt & grease, etc off your body, it's horrendous what comes out of people. My hair I wash every other day mostly... I have a long hair, I always do a different hairstyle which takes me some time for drying it, thinking of a hairstyle then trying to put hair products to keep it standind, so I wait until it starts to feel a bit greasy before I wash.

I used them today, and I must say, I like the feeling I'm getting after rubbing my whole body with this butter... haha.

Hmm...I'm addicted to body butter, especially Mango from the Body Shop. Even if I live in a very humid country (and thus prone to more stickiness than usual...) I can't help but lotion myself after bathing (most of the time!) It's one reason (I think) why I have exceptionally soft, smooth skin. ;)

I cant find the post of person who reccomended physchical cleansing such as brushing the skin with brushes and such...

Can you elaborate on this?

I have two brushes, 1 is a foundation type brush i use to brush my face with in an attempt to remove dead skin cells and promote circulation.

The secound is more of a shaving brush i brought of an ebay merchant who supposedly specialises in her own chemical free ingrediants and such. The brush is rather abbrasive and irratates my cheeks a fair deal, leading to spider veins and such. I dont think this method of physhically brushing the skin is healthy.

I need to remove dead skin cells, I have extremley sensitive skin and have been prone to spider veins around the eye/cheek area that are sometimes almost non existant to damn right hideous depending on irratations etc.

Fom my research people with sensitive skin prone to spider veins are advised not to use facial scrubs, cotton wool pads (lanolin) and even the microfibre face clothes i purchased seem to harsh for my cheek area!

Whats a fellow to do? I don't wanna be all flakey but dont want red irrated spider veined skin!

Haven't washed my face in a few days and it looks alot healthier (I've been housebound)

Im now using a product called "Elave" which is free from all the nasty ingerdiants of common expensive products on sale. You may know the company from its advertisement where they claim they have nothing to hide and the staff members are naked ;)

Anybody have any experiance with this product? I was formally using a home made cleanser from a lady of ebay who claims it removes spider veins and its the bees knees etc, but am too conscious of what the product actually consists of!

Im taking all sorts of supplements for skin health which I will elaborate further on if anybodys intrested.

Its a pain in the goddamn ass! Every morning i wake up and see another flaw, its taken over my life, im worse than a bloody woman! Deep down im totally boistrous and would love to not worry about what i put on my skin, going out in the sun/cold etc, touching my face!

My doc will not reccomend me too a dermatologist as he says my skins fine, even though the spider veins came up all of a sudden and contribute to alot of my mental worrys...I had bad skin as a teen and was very shy and embarressed leading me to seclusion and haiving social anxiety and such!

So yeh looks like i'l have to go private its pathetic im so embarressed about it, being macho n all in todays society but its hindering my life.

double post, I can't seem to find spell check for posting as My above post is rather poor and im quite wasted ;)

I love new bath products. I love shopping for them, unpacking them, and arranging them in my shower before taking a really nice relaxing cold shower!

I try to wash my face every morning with facial cleanser, and then I moisturise, as I have very dry flaky skin - especially if I'm dehydrated. I'll only wash my face before bedtime if I've been wearing makeup that day (waking up with smeared eyeliner and mascara is never a good look!). I usually only shower and wash my hair every second day.

No soap anywhere. Just water everyday. I don't wash anything but my hair with products. Somehow it feels like using tons of products will dry out my skin, which is unnatural and thus not something human skin was made for. I probably shouldn't even shower every day, but I have naturally quite oily skin so it gets a bit disgusting. Maybe I should try not showering for a month and see if my skin stops being oily?

Face wash twice daily. In the morning, I put on fancy pants moisturizer with SPF 15 and different vitamins in it. Then I have this thing I put on at night or after shaving that prevents ingrown hairs and soothes the skin and such.

I'm a quick shower kinda of guy but if I feel sick or sore I will make a bath with epsom salts just to relax.

i never wash my face its a scary feeling but i do wash my hands tons of times in a day with both normal soap and antibacterial and i also wash my hands with iodine before washing with normal soap (that shit smells awful)

Are you a doctor or just OCD about washing, lol? Something like hibiclens would be better to use on a daily basis than iodine I'd think

i've been using a tea tree cleanser, then alpha-hydrox, followed by jojoba oil on my face every night. must say that its the best face concoction i've ever used.

otherwise I'm a shower once a day with natural soap kind of guy
