I don't personally believe weed is a "gate-way" drug at all. When it comes to me weed was like, the third or forth drug that I tried. My list went something like this:
• Nicotine, in the form of a cigarette.
• Alcohol.
• Opiates, in the form of vicodin.
THEN..
• Marijuana.
....I had the chance to try herb earlier on, but I didn't feel like it. I didn't want to smoke weed, until after my first episode with opiates, actually. Like, I did the opiates, and was like "damn, this is amazing!" Then the next day, one of my friends had some weed and was like "wanna try it?" So naturally, I was down.
What I DO think though, is that if someone first tries marijuana, it COULD possibly lead them to experiment with other drugs, because they MIGHT have the thought of "well, if smoking weed makes me feel like this, then I wonder what [drug] would make me feel like..."
And then they try something else. I hope that makes sense. It all made sense in my head. But if not, whatever. Fuck it.
