Opioids Do you think she is eligible?

I am running out of money and have no good connections so I was thinking of something. My mother is on some type of disability where she got injured at work. She hurt him arm and has a tingling sensation in it that doesn't go away and she went to physical therapy for a while. She attends a vocational school now that was set up for her so she can do clerical work, any type of "light" jobs. I think she takes some medications for her nerves in her arm but I know she doesn't take any narcotic painkillers, she is against them. My mom doesn't support my addiction to heroin and opiates but she worries about me getting into trouble trying to support my habit and the possibility of getting a hot bag. I was high and brought up the idea of her getting a prescription for some narcotic painkiller and me using it. She was reluctant but I can tell she thought it was a good idea, if you can call it that. I know its ridiculous but unfortunately thats where I'm at. I know most of you are not doctors but do you think she would be eligible for the painkillers? I believe if she does get something they will start her off with Tylenol 3's then she can move up from there. She is in her late 50's and her injury is documented. Again, I know it is ridiculous to ask this of my mom but I feel if I can have a certain amount of say, oxycodone 30 mg I could work it for effective use. People always say you'll end up wanting more eventually but before I moved from OC 80's to heroin, after the formula change I used to take a certain amount a day every day and was content.

Umm...you do realize if you're mom starts getting prescribed 30mg oxy IRs she will most likely be going to a pain management doctor that not only checks her urine for the drugs she's supposed to be taking/not supposed to be taking, but also checking the amounts that are in her system, right? The only way that would work is if she would take all the meds that she was supposed to be taking for a week before her next appointment. And that's provided they don't call her in for a random UA/pill count. Yes, they count people's pills who are in pain to make sure they aren't taking all of them/diverting them or to make sure they need all that they are prescribed. If it's an addiction that was purely from recreational use, why not go on opioid replacement therapy with buprenorphine or methadone?

Yea I was thinking about them doing using tests. I don't want her to take them but I was gonna see if she could take it they day before her appointment. Doug, I know about how pain management works but I have also heard of people who get prescriptions for legitimate reasons and they do not require all that you described above. Also, about the addiction from recreational use; I was clean for almost four months and the last month I used 3 out of 4 fridays of the month, I had legals. I just started going every day again and I went almost six days without getting a habit, to mea habit is physical addiction. I took a two day break from this past Tuesday till Thursday and experienced some withdrawals that were very mild compared to what I have been through in the past. I could just take the weekend and just relax and detox myself, but I know once I feel better that I will want to use again and I'm sure I will become physically addicted quicker. My goal was to use once or twice a week, but once I do a shot my thinking goes out the window and all I think about is doing another one.
