Do you think our minds are connected?

coincidence and connections are not mutually exclusive. although any event can't be both, it is not certain they are all one or another.

i remember seeing a very startling experiment on some documentary years ago where they had bees in a maze, one at a time. the bees were from the one hive. the first number were confused and kept getting lost, but over time as they made it to the end of the maze (to some reward), the subsequent bees were somehow improving the maze times slightly. the most interesting part is after a certain number got through, the rest got through with ease. it was almost as if the knowledge of the correct path through the maze, once reached a certain critical mass, became a common knowledge.

^ I can buy that tale. A hive of bees is to me one organism. Our physical bodies are made up of cells with spaces in between them electrical impulses permit information to flow like a high speed wave. Bees could potentially share this knowledge in a number of different ways.
I used to think about how wolf packs hunted - out of site of each other and operating silently yet the plan always comes together whether they kill are not they get close & at the right time. I wonder if in the past human groups may have had shared consciousness to a greater degree than we do now ?
Increased complexity that involves the eyes & ears is IMO likely to occupy the mind, new things are always potentially threats & must be evaluated, add in that we're well fed all this renders the third eye blinder than could be the case.
I do so love a conjecture

In that we can't really be disconnected in what brought about our minds, our minds can't be anything but connected.

I believe we hold the key to everything, its like untapped knowledge, we are one, but what we percieve is a reflection, and we are all part of a whole of nothingness,

anyone seen freedom movie 1 or 2?

L2R and B9 I agree wholly.

I think by feeding our egos with flashy technology, pretty lights, machinery, and social control, we've kind of lost touch with our connection with others of our species. It's definitely there though, and maybe our next evolutionary step is to get in touch with that connection - it would certainly help deviate from the fighting and control our society suffers from, and maybe allow people to take more rational peaceful approaches.

sometimes the thought of our minds being connected makes me insanely insecure lol

I can relate to that - probably we all have things in our memories or waking dreams that we feel ashamed of - losing that shame overcoming that fear is probably one of the most useful things a person could do for themselves.
Unless one can do this I think connection through telepathic type means would be at best sporadic. To be able to remove the filters & mental barriers is an essential first step in moving toward expanding consciousness into the arenas we're talking about. I imagine that's what all the "wicked" practices involved in some forms of magic are supposed to achieve.

No. why does everyone philosophize in physical terms. What a simple way to put things.

No, I believe the correct term for this is called Social Intelligence or Intuitive Intelligence

But this is a very broad category that expands on Psychology and Sign Language.
It consists of body language, facial expressions, brainwashing techniques, resistance techniques, dummy ploys, embedded diversions, and subliminal advertisements.
The media makes you believe that psychic abilities exist, but these are just dummy ploys to force you to believe in the supernatural.
Its too deep for me to explain all of it, but the CIA has a training program that is based on counter-intelligence & tactics that covers most of this.

I would call it more than coincidence. I will look at my cellphone 5 seconds before I receive one , because I just have some thought about a person; and lo-and-behold, the person I was thinking about is callin(This only happens to me with my VERY VERY close friends and my father, but it happens regularly enough to give me the shivers and get thinking

Who else would this happen with? You are more likely to get calls from close friends and relatives than anyone else, you are more likely to be thinking about them than anyone else. Do you ever look at your phone while thinking about people and do not suddenly get called by them? Probably all the time. This is one of the most common coincidences people think supports the existence of ESP. See: confirmation bias

indeed, but that is necessary for language to work. every single thing we conceptualise into descriptions and definitions are exactly that, a reduction in essence in order to create a semblance of manageability.

I'm sure we could manage the whole thing if someone could describe it. Maybe it's more working our way upwards towards things more intense. I just think this topic is bunk. Or maybe the op needs to explain what he means by minds and or are connected

op is alluding to some kind of sixth sense dealio: mind reading or precognition

I personally think the future and the technological possibilities of connecting minds (look at how widespread cell phones and internet have become in just the last 20 odd years) are much more exciting than any 6th sense paranormal thing :P

Don't bees communicate via chemicals the same way ants do? Once a bee stings another organism, a chemical signal is released which draws more bees to the same organism in order to defend the hive. I'm not sure about bees, but ants release a chemical trail to guide other ants to and from resources, sort of like a chemical roadway. Maybe this explains how the first wave of bees were confused as if the course was uncharted, and the second wave was able to easily navigate the maze.
