Do you think Iran should be allowed to have a nuclear weapon?

When I was last paying attention they were being pushed out of having uranium with the fear of getting more components shipped in to make a bomb. However their stated primary use of uranium and equipment was for medical equipment dealing with, I don't know, something like cancer.
 
^Right, but the US is much more aggressive in it's foreign policy today. If we were to construct a criteria to determine who should have the right to possess nuclear weapons and who shouldn't, I think "Has never used nuclear weapons on human beings" would be at the top of the list. Along with "Hasn't started wars of aggression in the last few decades".

If two of the most militarily prolific and belligerent nations on Earth (US and Israel) are entitled to nuclear weapons, then why not Iran? Is Iran more likely to use a nuclear weapon out of nowhere against Israel, or is Israel more likely to burn Iran to the ground before they can build one?

What do you base "of the most belligerent nations on earth" on?

Is Iran more likely to use a nuclear weapon out of nowhere against Israel, or is Israel more likely to burn Iran to the ground before they can build one?

IMO, some of Iran's desire for a nuke is based on cultural reasons. They are a Persian, Shia nation, surrounded by non-Persian Sunni nations (including one non-politically stable nuclear power), and have fought a long and costly war within living human memory (Iraq-Iran war)

Invading or bombing a dozen countries in 10 years, really. On top of financially manipulating and militarily supporting oppressive and unstable regimes (including Pakistan, which is a far more dangerous nuclear power than Iran would be) in dozens of others. We have a pretty aggressive foreign policy that wouldn't be tolerated from anyone else. They would be considered a "rogue state" or a "belligerent nation".
 
they were both unnecessary. conditional surrender was offered before either bomb. how history may have changed, however, is uncertain. if there hadn't have been a terrible record of the use of nukes aggressively in history, it might have happened elsewhere. think how close the cuban missile crisis was.

Pakistan is realpolitik. They have nukes, and so does India. Both have fought over the dumbest shit (they have the record for the highest altitude battlefield, due to them fighting over a glacier).

I see no problem with keeping Pakistan stable for now, if it prevents Pakistan and India from lobbing nukes at each other.

Y'know, the US as also going to use atomic bombs in X-Day. Our own troops were going to march through nuked battlefields. Which seems to indicate that the thinking was "it's just a bigger bomb", not the latter "OMG, nukes".

(To be fair, if I was an allied soldier in the Pacific, I think I'd take my chance with the fallout. Okinawa was brutal. The Tokyo plain would be hell.)

That's the thing though, keeping them stable is a pickle in itself. The ISI is notoriously shady (as in doing things behind the back of the government), northern Pakistan is still rife with Taliban fighters and Islamic extremist organizations, and it's teetering politically. I'm just saying with the Indian/Pakistani dispute aside, the nuclear Pakistan is much more dangerous than a nuclear Iran would be, I think. Not because the government of Pakistan will use them on its neighbors, but because the country is so shaky.

You very welcome. Id like to see what you say when Iran does get it and starts threatning the US with it LOL. Who has Israel evrey threatened? If it was up to us we would be the quietest country on earth we dont like to fight cuz we actually value evrey citizen we have since we dont have many.

As for you other idiots its very simple Israel is the one and only jewish state/country in the WORLD people prob dont realize that since they think jews run the world and etc.... My point is there are so many Muslim countries in this world let the fucking Palestinians go there and leave the only tiny piece of land jews can call home alone and we wont bother nobody.

Another thing i wanna mention is jews are evreywhere and run shit cuz they work hard not cuz they were handed it on a silver platter if you are born jewish and lazy you wont get far its simple as that.

Last point regarding the original posting why shouldnt Israel have a atom if its known we will never use it unless absolutley necessary we have a tiny army compared to others way more advanced but still tiny so we need to have some leverage and having a atom is one of them
