If you had a crazy neighbor down the street that constantly yelled and chanted "Death to (Insert your name here.)" would you be in favor of allowing that person to own firearms? Better yet, would you give that person firearms?
Not to mention, Iran will give/sell nukes to anti-American terrorists organizations that could then easily be smuggled into the US via ship and then detonated in the port of NY or LA or another large Port city, all while claiming they had nothing to do with it. These are the type of people that have no problem dying while flying airliners into packed skyscrapers filled with innocent Men, Women and Children with the intent of killing as many of them as possible.

I had a college professor, a Computer Science instructor that was Iranian. One of the nicest and funniest guys I've ever met and he would sometimes go off-topic and talk about life in Iran and how oppressive it was and as long as he remembers, he was taught to hate America and was brainwashed thru repetition with "Death to America!" and that all Americans are evil, as are Jews and other Westerner's.
Once he got older, he heard thru others that he was basically living in a jail and that there was a big world out there where you could openly talk of dissent or criticize government and not worry about getting a visit at 4 AM, being dragged out of your bed and home and to be never seen again.
The happiest day of his life was escaping Iran and coming to America and living like a human being and as a free man.
Iran's Human rights record is atrocious. Iran's leadership doesn't care - they believe that in death there is glory and that they will go heaven where 72 virgins await them to cater to all of their whims and fantasies.
These are not rational people we're dealing with and trying to use logic and reason with them would be like trying to use logic and reason with a Bear chasing you in the woods.
They kidnap people from all over the world. Hold them hostage for money or political reasons. Torture them. Kill them. Behead them. Put it on video and show it on the nightly news.

Many Iranian's are good people, but they've been told their entire lives that America is the Devil and that it is evil. They have been brainwashed to hate us by their State-run media. Many Iranian's want Democracy, Freedom - many of the same things we take for granted, but if they speak out they end up being dragged out their home in the middle of the night and are never seen again, so they remain silent and "go along with the program"
