Do you remember the pale dreams of childhood
flying on fairy wings over waterfalls and deep lakes to castles in the sky
great kings surrounded by knights in gleaming armor
they all rose to meet you, the great hero
Do you remember the vast oceans we used to sail on
strange flying fish would leap out of the water
whales would sing their songs and tell us their secrets
dolphins would keep us company in the night
Do you remember the giant caves we used to explore
hanging over dark crevasses dodging bats and seeking treasure
seeking out the scary monster that scared the younger children
Do you remember the nightmares
the giant spiders, wicked aliens and killer clowns that surrounded the bed at night
do you remember when your wings failed and you fall into black pit only to wake just before you hit
do you remember when the storms cam the ship sank and you sunk to meet your death by a great white
do you remember when that monster turned out to be you…

I really like this.... I dont remember any of the experiences you said, for some odd reason I have almost no memories of before the age of about ten and by then I was grown up so I dont have any memory of childhood fantasies but your poem gave me a good feeling all the way up to the second last line...and now Im just sort of stunned trying to recall my childhood and figure out why I cant remember it....hermmmm.
great work, it made me think.

^^^^^^ that's kinda sad. I keep my memmories and dreams from child locked up in a safe place, kinda nest to hide in when being an adult sucks ass.

^ from some of my earlier memories of the first few years after that (about 10-13) I think there may be reasons why I dont remember what happened, perhaps its for the best ahhh well kay sara
just hold onto those memories....you dont realise how much theyre worth.
