Do you prefer swallowing or sublingually taking your xanax?

Violenza666, I've had panic attacks ever since I was a small child. They would throw anti-depressents at me constantly until I finally stood up for myself telling the health professionals that they are worthless. So, in return, they first tried me on xanax(small dose) then upped it to about 3mg a day, now I currently take Klonopin, which I do find beneficial. I'm not prescribed xanax any loger so now I usually take the xanax when I want instant relief.

Unless I've got an empty stomach, I take all my benzos sublingually.

Due to this thread I used Sublingual last night and as a result it came on almost instantly it felt. (I wouldn't say it took more than about 2 minutes to come on)

As I only ever use Xanax for getting to sleep after stim-sessions. This was useful info. Thanks.

Up until now, I've been swallowing them. Awhile ago I tried the sublingual route with a different drug, and didn't see much of a difference vs swallowing it. So, have just been swallowing everything.

I'll try one sublingually next time and see if I notice a difference!

These days I always take them sublingually because I think they hit me faster that way and I'm trying to only take them as needed for panic attacks. In general, speed of onset is everything when dealing with panic attacks and under the tongue feels like 10 minutes quicker for me than any other route.

i just tried sublingually, 1 mg. I think it works a little faster, not much than on an empty stomach.. a littke disappointed. I used to love em.. not they just make me tired..

I always take benzo's sublingually for the quicker onset. The same thing goes with methadone, I never swallow benzos or methadone.

Lately, I've noticed that swallowing them lasts longer but doesn't pack that hard punch that sublingually does. Just want your opinions. Thanks guys. Stay safe out there.

Swallowing def lasts longer. But onset takes longer as well. Frankly, I prefer to snort my xannies, at least half the dose, so it will kick in sooner. Then I'll swallow the other half, for longevity.

Aside from Suboxone, there aren't a lot useful meds for sublingual admin, IMO. But then I'm old, yo. You kids nowadays are into all kinds of stuff I've never heard of, lol.

Stay safe~

I dissolve my methadone in a wee-bit of water and drink em up, super-fast onset!

i had mylan .25mg xanax and i took 5 right(back in my early days when addiction started forming) and the taste was on my tounge for hours and hours even after eating mcdonalds the worst taste ever then theres somas... but you sublingually all the way packs a way harder punch lovem.

Back when I was prescribed xanax I was to take 1mg twice daily. If I was going for a recreational session I would take one under the tongue and swallow the second one about 10 min later, that way I would get a prolonged effect from the xanax.

Are the Mylan A1 blue round pills the same as the xanax? I have tried a few by either swallowing them or eating them and I dont really get any high off of them. Granted I have only done 1 at a time so I am not sure if I need to do more to get high. Any suggestions? Thanks

Question:

Taking sublingually, I usually crush it into a powder first. Just so it absorbs more quickly. Takes a solid pill forever to dissolve. Anyways, when taking sublingually, does it need to placed right in the center under your tongue? every time I put it on paper and funnel it into my mouth but i seem to miss and get the majority of it on the left or right side under my tongue.

Thanks.
