hahaha yeah. i always had my boyfriend shoot me up cause he was mad good at it, knew where my veins were, and such. my veins are suuuper hard to find cause even if i do push ups and get my blood pumping they still dont stick out. so you gotta just know where they are. and i could never pull the plunger up. >.<

and when we were doing coke you have to shoot up so many fucking times you go through a needle in one night and destroy your veins sooo fucking fast. we were also using the same needle for like days - between the two of us - and some times it would get soo bad that we would have to file the hooked tip off. :( so the more often you shoot up in the same vein 4-6 times a day the smaller it gets. so i totally get the YEEESSS! exclamation. i did it sooo many fucking times hahaha. its such a great feeling when you get it :)

but it does just ruin your life sometimes. so much faster then sniffing. :/
 
Wow Dexy, no wonder you have no veins. You should use a clean needle after each SHOT, not after each night of 5-6 shots..eesh. I hope you don't still do that anymore..

Edit: After re-reading it, it doesn't sound like you still do.

It takes practice but it's fairly easy to self-inject. :)

It becomes infinitely easier when you have a smooth plunger.
 
As alot of other people said, the whole process of injecting is just as addicting to me as the rush itself.
 
i knew way before i started doing dope i was gonna IV it....i was drawn to it....i give advice ,dont try and preach ,alot of my family started using the IV rte because of me....4 cousins and 1 uncle and one friend..who is kinda like an uncle,one took a needle but never used it....

i carry a bad feeling around with me because of this
 
Love it, unfortunately. Most of my friends and actually most of the people I've ever met seem to have a stigma against it, and try to avoid it at all costs. I was not so lucky as to pickup this perspective, instead I am infatuated with the syringe. I like it, I like the idea of it, I like the ritual of it, I like doing it, I like watching it, I like the rush, and I like the high.

its very unfortunate. But oh well. The addiction to the needle is no joke, its every bit as powerful as the addiction to the substance, IME. If you haven't tried IV'ing, for the sake of your health and future, don't.
 
I shot heroin for the first time in my life last night, I had never IV'd anything in my entire life, I must say Im pretty damn pleased minus the track mark :/

Shit man 1 - 2 times a week and you've collapsed veins already? I'd be willing to bet you're either shooting tar, or your technique / equipment could use some improvement. It's definitely possible to sustainably inject at this rate – without losing any veins.

What substance / gauge needle are you using?
 
I fell in love with the needle at first because the rush was unlike any feeling I've ever felt. But I came to hate what it made me do, but I became indifferent to all that and still loved the needle and the whole process that went a long with it from the drive to the dope house, to fixing it up, to finding a vein.
As for the physical feeling. i love poking myself but I hate doctors poking me or drawing my blood cuz they all suck ass at it.
 
I just enjoy the high and the rush of the dope. Ain't nothin appealing about the needle and more of an inconvinienece of havin to go get more an having rubbin alc an shit. Well idk its got its own lil charm but not too much.
 
for me it's a love hate relationship, i used to say i would never in a million years use a needle and now it's my favorite route of administeration. i hate it because just using the needle is so addicting but there's something about it that i also love about using it.
 
There's nothing romantic about sticking yourself 10 times in a row with blood dripping out of the different holes you've created in your arm, with a rig half-full of blood, fishing around for a vein!

Needles don't bother me at all, it's just a means to an end for me.....

and to add to that, I have good veins, but like "bad hair days" every needle user has "bad needle days".....days where you just can't seem to get the damn needle in your vein, even if you're an IV drug user, watching somebody having a "bad needle day" is enough to turn your stomach and make you re-consider shooting drugs...
