I've only gotten the itches a few times. I'm not super fond of opiates, I would rather die than be a junkie so I tend to stay away from them. When I was 17 I ate two vicodin before a high-school class. It was one of my first experiences with opiates and I go the most wonderful warm itchy feeling all over by body and spent the entire class scratching myself all over. Some itch is good.
 
yeah just depends to what extent. For the life of me i all ways get itchin on the end of my nose, i know ive had a good night when i wake up the next afternoon and my nose hurts from itchin it all night.

Used to love the methadone itches
I believe my tolerance-MMT has caused them to subside:\
 
I do love them but rarely get them anymore. Sometimes in the early days it got itchy to the point of annoying though so I can't say I miss the itch too much.
 
I love the opiate itch from good opiates like oxy where its just a pleasant thing around my balls and legs etc.

I hate the codeine itch where I have to claw at scalp, wrists and back til I bleed.

codeine itch feels just wrong... good thing its a weak and shitty high and I dont touch it anymore.... Personally I like the itchies most of the time, but sometime oxy can get overwhelming and take over my buzz to an extent.
 
I find the opiate itch from heroin to be most pleasant, but the itchies from oxys or opanas is like having a case of poison ivy for me. Ive itched and rubbed my nose and balls sore on these pharmaceuticals. I've caught some strange looks at the library and grocery store from my excessive scratching.
 
Who else loves the opiate itch

Just curious if anyone else likes the itch that comes along with opiates. I usually get itchy down by my nuts and along my head and it feels soooooo good to just be chillin and when I itch where ever it feel wonderful.

The only itch i do not enjoy is when my nose gets seriously itchy but luckily for me it does not happen too often.
 
Yeah sometimes the itch can be annoying but I LOVE that feeling when they first kick in and the itching starts...lets me know where my buzz is at. Morphine always causes the most itching for me.
 
Morphine for me too, like nothing else. I mean yeah, it's satifying to scratch and feels good, but I honestly get so sick of it after eight hours. With ER Morphine, even if I take it early on in the day, the itching persists into and even throughout the night. Sometimes it really starts to drive me crazy. Antihistamines help, but nothing gets rid of it completely that I've found.
 
antihistamines barely do anything to help the itch for me but I honestly dont mind it unless im in a place where I cant be seen itching so much lol
 
I love the itch, too! Morphine is love with the itch. I haven't had an itch in a bit... Fentanyl doesn't give me an itch for some reason.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid so it only mimics the effects of a natural opiate. So less likely to get itchy. Morphine is a non synthetic natural opiate so chances are very high like Codeine.
