Do you like cocaine or the idea of cocaine more?

The idea of cocaine is has a romanticism to it in my mind. I like the idea of it more than actually doing it. The more I use the more I don't even feel like doing it.

And, do you you think people that say, in what I usually consider propaganda television shows and movies, cocaine is similar to an amazing orgasm actually feel that way or just enjoy the effects as much. Is there a difference between it feeling like an orgasm and people saying that it does or do you think they get the same type of exhilaration?

No one ever differentiates this idea.

and no, cocaine is cocaine, the reason they say it feels like an orgasm, same with heroin..is because it does a kind of simular reaction in the brain.

I've never ived so I didn't know the comparison so maybe it is similar but insufflating cocaine and heroin has never even come close to some sexy girl.

IV use of cocaine is very intense and I used to do it and get all turned on and basicly start making out with this chick that hung out with mea lot, we did live together off and on, but we did not have a totally sexual based relationship. But when I shot coke I was on her like glue,an she would snort some and be all good to go as well.

Snorting cocaine is more of a "hyped up thing" to me after shooting cocaine I have felt it's real intense highs, more intense than any amount of snorted coke could produce of course.

And I used to hate snorting OC's ,even free ones becasue I felt that I got more of the drug by chewing it up and swallowing it versus snorting it,and some going to waste,as always happen when snorting anything.

There is no romanticizing in my mind, I hate thinking about doing coke. My palms get sweaty, my heart starts racing, and I feel like I need to take a shit. But once I start doing coke I fucking love it. I still get aforementioned side effects but I also feel fucking great. To me the physical effects are similar to how I felt as a teenager trying to get a chicks bra off (except for the shitting part). However there is no similarity or equivalence to an orgasm. Coke Just gives a good powerful feeling.

I don't like cocaine to be honest. Heroin, meth, and psychedelics are a lot more interesting/entactogenic to me personally.

The rush of coke through that needle is pretty fucking wonderful, but with the after effects and the intense awful cravings I'd have to say that the idea of pure euphoria over the reality is nicer.

Cocaine is always better in theory, imo/e.

Sure the high is great (if you get good coke that is), but the negatives far outweigh the positives IMO/E, so it always sounds better in theory instead of reality.

This is coming from an ex-coke addict. Maybe from a habitual user it's different though.

I agree with you. People get addicted to the ceremony of the procedures required to do the drugs almost as much as the drugs themselves. It could be from using a favorite shot glass to drink alcohol to the order in which someone may lay out there works before IV use. No judgement on any of this, it's just something I have observed over the years.

I chew oxy, but it's true, I have friends who love to snort it. I tell them about BA and all that, but they don't listen to me.

I don't get it. I've heard lots of people talk about the bioavailiability of oral compared to snorted, but I've never been able to get a decent high off oral oxycodone, whereas snorted gives me an awesome rush followed by a great high. I just don't understand.

I think that we should all be careful talking about oxycodone and its bioavailability.

It's true that oxycodone's intranasal bioavailability is lower than oral, but only slightly, and for some the quicker onset or "rush" may be worth the lower bioavailability.

I can tell you that, despite its ultimately hitting the same spot, nothing beats blowing down a line, watching my pupils shrink in the mirror, and walking back to my bedroom to put in a movie and feel that opiate warmness in my cheeks.

If the difference in bioavailability were greater, then insufflating oxycodone would not make sense to me.

Cocaine is like, the most overpriced, overhyped drug I've ever seen. In my mind it has very little in the way of redeeming quality other than the fact that people have this image of it as being the ritzy rich/ famous person's drug, when all it is is a crappy overpriced drug that has a comedown that makes the expensive ass high not even worth it. Then if you want to spend even more you can go buy benzos, but I don't like having to go score more drugs just to make the expensive ass one I just bought not feel terrible afterwards.
