Personally, it's not really fun for me, I just like being fucked up and running into walls, and not being able to stand up. I know there's people out there who don't like the Cannabis high, are you/do you know anyone like that?

my fiance doesnt enjoy it-- once in a while when i can get her to do it with me she might enjoy it but it depends on alot of factors

I have friends that smoked pot once or even a few times and they found that it was very boring or didn't do much at all for them, and they'd rather just get drunk or use other drugs.

I know someone who has major mental issues with a type of bipolar that's like schizophrenia, and can occasionally drink in small amounts, but smoking makes him freak out in a bad way.

For me it really depends on my mindset at the time. Sometimes I have a really good time giggly, care free, relaxed. Other times its hell. Ill get really nervous and panicky and just feel super negative.

Wow I just read the post above mine.. I really hope I'm not skitzo, I get super freaked out alot from it.

i've got a couple of girl friends that don't like to get high. i personally could never understand it though haha.

I used to LOVE being as stoned as humanly possible, but alot of the time when I do it now, i'm just trying to fend off a panic attack. This has happened to alot of folk I know.....smoked too much, too quick, too young.

Like last night, I was so stoned I felt really faint/light-headed and I couldn't breathe properly and I was just praying to come down. But the odd thing is, the last time I had a smoke a couple days ago, I was perfectly fine. It depends on alot of factors.....

Alot of people overlook that Cannabis is a very potent drug that must be treated with the same respect and significance of set and setting. I was in a pretty depressed mood yesterday so it was stupid of me to smoke so much to try alleviate it.

The funny thing is, a couple years ago, I could smoke so many buckets and bongs in a row and go anywhere, do anything. Now I have a small pipe and I might be on the brink of panicking.

But I do still enjoy it some days and some days it's the most enjoyable thing ever, still.

Although I consist myself a “lifer" with cannabis... There are times I find the feeling sluggish and dopey instead of insightful and inspiring. Then I needed to back off a bit.

I have talked to people who've tried it a few times and don't like to be stoned. Though some of these people I believe are just stuck in a certain mindset preventing them from letting go and enjoying it.

One chick I know has smoked a few times and says she doesn't like it very much, but I've seen her get blazed and just act like the rest of the group, smiling and being very engaging. So I dunno, she could just be holding on to a belief that she doesn't enjoy smoking.

Though I will not put down anyone who doesn't like weed. Nothing wrong with it. Some people in particular get to much anxiety for it to be an enjoyable experience. Others just feel to fogged up.

I'm personally baffled by people who don't enjoy opiates and the doped up feeling they provide. To each their own.

Nothing worse than someone who tries and push drugs on another especially because they think "why wouldn't anyone enjoy this". This goes for drinkers too (alcohol is a drug, not sure why someone people forget this).

If someone lives life with out touching a drug, more power to them, but just like as a drug user we shouldn't push judgments on others, I expect the same in return. I especially hate when a non-user asks, why do you drugs? Why do you need to get high? Well.... Why do you need to do anything? Why do you go out sky diving instead of tripping on LSD? We all enjoy what we find to give us pleasure and meets our personal needs. I can't judge you on your personal activities (as long as they don't affect other people of course), and especially can't create a truly valid opinion if I haven't even given it a chance. Preconceived perceptions of anything destroys any chance for an objective view, or conversation.

I don't think this thread really relates to CD, so I'm going to use my discretion and close it. I know plenty of people who don't like being stoned, just as I know people who don't like being drunk/on psychedelics/opiated/benzo'ed/etc. There are clearly those who enjoy some of these things, and some that don't, and I don't really see this discussion going anywhere. It's best to support someone's decision and not force them to do anything they don't want to do.
