Do You Filter?

However I finally this year was give. Micron filters and while I ran out of them a while back, my friend just sent me another batch which is awesome. The problem I find with heroin is that I am always kind of afraid to micron heroin in large quantities at a time as I always feel as though with dope that I lose a lot of the solution. However, now that I'm (unfortunately) using a lot more heroin than I previously had been, I could micron 2 bundles at a time and not have to worry about it converting back to morphine as between my girlfriend and myself we use at least that much every day.

I don't know why but I remember that when I first got into injecting cocaine, I was taught not to use any filter at all. For some reason at the time all the come I got seemed to be cut with completely water soluble adulterants because I would actually be able to draw it up that way, but thinking back it's horrifying. Especially nowadays with the huge percentage of cocaine being cut with levemisole I would strongly recommend anyone unfortunate enough to be injecting blow to invest in .25 micron filters.

Cotton offa q tip. I always filter man I can't imagine that shit in my veins withouta filter.

Usually just roll it up into a ball and stick it on end of dip and stick in solution. Others toss it on there first and then draw up. Idk I think other way is easier.
 
Yes, I always filter, with cotton from a q-tip, in a manner just like Serotonin101 described. Unless it's ketamine, which I IM from a sealed sterile vial.

I haven't IVed in a few years and I ordered some micron filters last time I stocked up on supplies. I'm looking forward to using them. It's great how cheap and available injection supplies are here in Germany (unlike where I moved from in the US, where mail order was my only option), but I can't seem to find micron filters or even figure out what they're called in German. I only brought a few with me from the US. I guess I'll just bring one of them to the pharmacy & hope the recognise it, but if anyone knows of a place I can order from that will ship to Germany, that would be most helpful. I haven't had any luck searching or in the micron filter threads.
 
Ahh, first time I IV'd pills I had a fat pack of microns and luer lock syringes, bacteriostatic water and all sorts of good things available to me when Captain was modding and doing his campaign for micron filtering. Had never heard of the things before BL, and probably would have shot loads of talc n shit in my veins in the time hence if not for that...sooo....

Yes, I do micron filter, and continue to do so, as I don't plan on storing excess pill cuts in my lungs, leg veins, eyes and heart. See, bluelight really is good for harm reduction sometimes! %)

I cotton filter. I use what the exchange provide. (which are identical to cigarette filters) I use freebase heroin, so I drop the cotton in the spoon after the solution is cooked - then draw.
 
1. Micron.
Only because of this site. Im so glad I decided to do research online. I read for an entire month. This site actually scared me away from the iv route several times.
I now iv daily but I take every hr step humanly possible. Thanks to BL
I know how to be as safe as possible.
I pull up thru a piece of sterile cotton ball cut with sterilized scissors. Loaded into a packed 10ml syringe attached to a micron.
Tip: opposed to rolling into a ball. unroll cotton ball. Cut. Squirt flat piece w water. Fold in half 1-2x. dont squeeze. Cut if needed.
I find if the cotton is soaking wet it does not clog as fast and is easier to pull up thru. Also folding in place of rolling keeps it shape better. Pushing thru a cotton packed sryinge works incredibly well.
 
Yes I filter (or well I used to, I hardly ever shoot up anymore) using cotton. If I am going to pick up shooting drugs again on a semi-regular basis I am probably buying microns since I can afford it and the only reason not to would be pure lazyness.

Cigarette filters are largely inferior to cotton by the way, the guy who made the morphine solution @ the picture captain heroin posted could have had it crystal clear if he used cotton. I always get them crystal clear using cotton only. Still, I know there is enough particles invisible to the naked eye to make people here cringe.

I buy large balls of cotton usually and break up into smaller pieces, pour water on it and roll it up into a ball before throwing it in the solution filtering once (95% of the time I will have a crystal clear solution after this else I filter untill it is).

Oh yeah, people lose limbs doing IM injections of improperly prepared and improperly filtered substances. Definitely micron filter if you absolutely have to IM anything not intended to be used in that way.
 
Just wanted to make an update that I've been microning my heroin shots now and have found that's it's really simple. My fear has always been that I would not get a good return back, but I realized I had stupidly been doing it the wrong way-so for anyone that isn't aware of this, make sure that after you've pushed your solution through the micron filter, to unscrew the micron and then pull the luer lock syringe's plunger back all the way and screw it back on to the filter. Press down on the plunger and the force from the air pressure will shoot out the rest of whatever didnt come out of the micron originally. It's kind of freaky because it comes out like a foam (due to all the air-this might not happen if you're using 3mL luer locks, I use 10mL) but the foam turns back into a liquid within seconds.
 
Damn, I didn't think so...I'm using an iPhone though so anythings possible.

Sorry if anyone thought that I did that intentionally under the assumption that my post was the end all be all to this discussion lol.
