arg...i do some of that to i hate people seeing me cry. i normally bury my face in the closest pillow so they cant see...or do that tip the head back so the make up doesnt run thing.

I'm not like that anymore, but I used to be. I can totally relate to this, there was actually a time I didn't wear mascara just so I wouldn't have to worry about forgeting to wash off the stains.

some times sparing others pain feels heroic and sometimes it feels like resentment. I used to hate the people I hid the tears from, but I hated it more when I couldn't hide them anymore. I still don't cry around people much, but that's only because I like to think of my tears as private as my hurts. They are more me than anything and if I show them to someone it is because that person means something real and tangible to me. I like the repetition and the alliteration. Nice.
