Do you actually have a "worst enemy"?

We see the term "worst enemy" thrown around a lot. "I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy," for example. We ask each other hypothetical questions involving worst enemies. Or perhaps we have had actual real-life battles with one very bad person that have spanned years or even decades.

So do you actually have one if asked on the spot? Want to share your story? Do you think anyone else would answer with YOU?

I have had a few quarrels with people over the years, but it has been 12+ years since I had a real worst enemy.

I had enemies back in high school.. A group of cheerleaders who bullied me for four years.. Every single day in high school was a nightmare they have done every single hurtful thing to me that I didn't want to go to school and wanted to switch to another school until one day I had enough and on my fourth year I punched one of them in the face tko'ing her lols they stopped bullyin me after thayt but that was 3 days before we graduated :)

I believe the term for that is "winning" :P

I can't say i have a worst enemy nor do i imagine anyone would choose me as theirs, i'm far too apathetic to get involved in any kind of dispute that would end in a grudge :D

i love this. a good old punch to the face ended some bullying i had in secondary school. obviously once you start getting prosecuted for that kind of behaviour i cant really advocate it but when in school you have to stand up for yourself as you are stuck with those assholes everyday and you either sink or swim

what kind of person though in real adult life would have a worst enemy? there are people i'm not to keen on but my mum says "if you don't like someone, then don't spend any time with them"

obviously this is different but even with hated work colleagues i managed to bury the hachet eventually

I learned there is no point in holding a grudge and that forgiveness is a virtue.

If I use this phrase, I mean I wouldn't wish something upon anyone. That's all it means when I use it. I don't actually have a worst enemy whatsoever.

I guess, there were these girls that bullied me all through elementary school and a bit of high school (until I switched schools, yes because of them). When I'm actually thinking about it, those are probably the people IRL that I dislike the most. That being said, it's not like I think of them every day and hate them every day. Oh I definitely did when I was younger and all that. But I'm 22, it's been a few years. Whether or not they have matured, I still don't like them, but I just don't think about them. There is no need to.

HEEEEE-MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN

WHYYYY DO YOUU ALWAYS FOIIL MY PLANS OF DOMINANCE?!!

I turned to drugs as a result and now I'm as skeletal as can be! Blowing aliens for a bag of space-dope. 0_0

How bad is bullying in America? Is it really like how it's portrayed in the movies? I mean, that's a bit of a silly question. But from what I've read on here and other forums, it doesn't seem too far from the truth. I just wondered if it was a cultural thing.

Like, we get bullying in England. But I don't think it's on the same level. Or maybe it is. Perhaps I was lucky which school I went to. We don't really allow our sportsmen to become like the kings of the school. And we certainly don't have cheerleaders, which I'm very thankful for. Talk about giving some pretty girls delusions of grandeur....fucking hell, must be insufferable in some cases.

Obviously this is all conjecture. Please don't rip on me if I sound like an ignorant twat. Would just like an idea of that high-school culture hierarchy.

Oh that made me smile Jonnavi. Good for you :D

No I've never had a 'worst enemy'...had two pretty bad fallouts with friends that turned nasty, with one girl when we were 14 (she thought it would be smart to spread rumours I was bulimic - when I was actually quite seriously anorexic and it really wasn't anything to laugh about. I later learned it's because she was jealous I was thinner than her) and another during our last year of high school when she decided to help my ex cheat on me with her. Some friends :|
Other than that, never been bullied or anything, and seeing as I came out as the 'victorious' one in those two spats I don't really give much of a damn anymore. Hated them for a while though.

I feel like the concept of 'worst enemy' (said like that anyway) really just belongs to high school drama TV shows more than anything else...

I have two people I consider worst enemies, both of whom are guilty of unforgivable acts. One is in prison, and the other one should be; if I ever run into the latter, well...I'll play it by ear.

Yes, I would say my own worst enemy would be Satan, because I believe in God and the devil.

However, I have no enemy that is a person. I forgive people that have wronged me because I want forgiveness for myself.

The bullying happened back in my old country "Philippines" bullying happens anywhere and it just happened that my high school batch were total bitches that thought they can dominate the world lols. One of them actually tried to add me on facebook a few weeks ago but i just dont wanna add her what for? We were not even friends back then so why add her now? lols

No worst enemies for me. I wouldn't allow anyone that type of emotional power over my life. If someone wants to call me their worst enemy well, then that's a battle they'll have to fight by themselves. Life is too short an precious to waste on negative feelings.

Wow I don't understand how a so called "friend" can do that! Biatches! lols Well those are definitely not friends then

I have a lot of people who hate me and would cause my harm if they had the chance - They are certainly not an enemy (I just don't care enough about them to consider them a threat etc).

I wouldn't call her my worst enemy, but my ex-roomie is a cold hearted cunt. Like while I was on a family vacation for thanksgiving she drove two hours to try and fuck my boyfriend. I only ever think about her because we still live in the same town. But I feel like it's pretty easy to hate someone you used to love, despite not wanting them to have power over you.
