Do u like presription opiates or benzos better?

this isn't even a contest, opiates by a long shot. Unless you have severe anxiety I don't see how you could enjoy benzos that much.

Opiates for depression, benzos for anxiety, and amphetamines for lethargy, that's the only way to live.
 
Opiates are anxiolytic for me so I see no point in reaching for the benzos when opiates are an option. I'd much rather nod out with a handfull of opies =D
 
I agree with most people on here are saying opiates, reason being imo is because they're more recreational than benzos.

But like I said, it depends on the person, and everyones body chemistry is different. Example, someone will feel better on benzos than on opiates.

For pain, the answer is obvious here, opiates, duh.

For sleep, the answer is also obvious, benzos, duh.

Anxiety, some people say opiates treat their anxiety better than with benzos, I can't argue and say no theyre not because like I said, again, everyones body chemistry is different.
But for me, benzos are WAY better for anxiety, as that's what they're RX'd for. IMO, the only way opiates treat anxiety better than benzos is when your dependant/addicted to opiates, and as you use them for a long period of time and stop, we all know what comes next, the worst of the worst, WITHDRAWAL!! You're anxiety obviously sky rockets during opiate w/d, and when they dose their opiates their w/d goes away, and that also means their anxiety is gone also. That's IMO though.

I am currently RX'd a great opiate (methadone 80mg/day) and a great benzo (klonopin 5mg/day)...both for withdrawal. Methadone for opiate WD, and the k-pin for benzo w/d.

So at the moment, im a happy camper. :)
 
Well I need both, but if we are talking recreational purposes opiates (unless its Subs or Methadone, as those arent very recreational if taken on a daily basis..) Gotta Sub script, I need some kind of opiate so my life doesn't spiarl outta control, but also have to deal with anxiety which is why I started using opiates, so a 2-3mg a day script of Klonopin or xanax a day would really freakin' help me(valium kinda makes me deppressed if used alot for some reason.) So I guese I go with a script for opiates so I don't pawn all my possessions and steal and lie to everyone I know pretty much...plus benzo's on their on suck for fun, gotta have some other drug mixed in to make them fun really, and I'm guesing you are asking for recreational purposes? Everyone is different though.

Not really, I mean everyone is different but, I have Klonopin 1mg pills, My doc gave me 240 pills for a month and a 1/2.
I also get some take homes from my methadone clinic.

In all honesty, I take both as RX'd. I don't abuse neither one. I take them currently because my body NEEDS them, or ill go into serious W/d and possibly die. (methadone + benzo w/d = death), esp in high doses.
Imo, I do have high doses also.

I take 80mg methadone daily. Which is a slightly above an average joe dose. (lowest dose ive heard from my clinic is 7mg, highest dose ive heard was 260mg)....

If you set your mind right, and tell yourself you know abusing drugs will lead to an ugly future, Horrible W/d's, harder getting a job, harder to raise a family, etc.

I'm not bashing you or anything, but I just want the best for you (RapperGoneBad).
 
Well I was in a bad car crash and now I get severe panic attacks pretty much any time I'm in a car that I'm not driving. So benzos for me by a mile for the simple fact that I need them. I have a bad back from the accident too, but I don't NEED painkillers. I NEED benzos for the time being. Not in the sense that I get sick without them, I need them for a normal life.
 
It all depends what you're looking for.

For me, recreational wise, if I had to pick 1, it's def. opiates.

But if im at home, chillen, playing video games or watching movies, benzos all the way.

But mixing the 2, boy oh boy, now that's a different ball game, very dangerous, but if you have a high enough tolerance to mix them (like I do) they go amazing together.

Back in my Oxycodone and Hydrocodone days, adding Xanax or Klonopin to my doses would make me feel like im in heaven, and the best part is, benzos are cheap compared to opiates, so by mixing them, you get the best value, and feeling, so its a win win mixing them. When I got on Heroin, because pills got way too expensive, my whole life changed, I never IV, I was smoking the H and taking the pills orally.

With RX opiates, I can chain smoke cigs that taste AMAZING,. But when I was doing Heroin, if I smoked a cig, I would puke everytime.
So I did pills for 6 years, dose ranging from 80-200mg daily. I smoked heroin for 1 year, when everything hit rock bottom. Heroin gave me a w/d that my brain kept telling me kill yourself NOW, I was sweating like I just got out the shower, I would puke on a empty stomach, it was like yellow acid that tasted more bitter than pills, now that's fucking poison, empty stomach + puking CAN kill you by Dehydration, esp. sweating that much, and everytime I tried drinking water I would puke it back up, I was shaking, my stomach was 10/10 pain wise because I had an empty stomach and I still kept puking, my stomach would cramp so bad, I cant even explain how bad the pain was, my parents saw me sick like a dog, so they rushed me to the hospital, and they let me in in less than 30 mins, because I was more sick than everyone waiting in the ER room, EVERYONE was looking at me, literally. Some woman I don't even know cried FOR me, cuz she saw a young man sick like that, I was only 22 at the time, so the doctor ordered me meds to calm me down, all IV, which were, Morphine, Ativan, and Promethazine. After I got dosed, I finally stopped shaking, and calmed down a BIT. The doc told my parents only 2 things would save your sons life, #1 rehab, #2 MMT, couldn't afford rehab, so ever since ive been on methadone, and I can easily say methadone saved my life.

Ever since, ive never fucked with street drugs, im an RX person all the way.
 
Opies without a doubt in my mind, but as a poly addict Im always down for both. Hence my 12+ ODs, all also involving alcohol. Im a recovering alcoholic as well. Shiiiit.
 
Absolutely love both... In combination if possible. I'd have to go for opiates though from a practical point of view (addiction and also having to take them through necessity for a back injury)

Tough call for me though cos I just loooove being wrapped up in that warm, fuzzy benzo blanket
 
I prefer opiates, but only the more powerful ones such as Oxycodone and Heroin. I would easily pick a lifetime supply of Xanax over a lifetime supply of Codeine for example.
 
^A lifetime supply of xanax, ob boyi! Can you imagine how high your tolerance would be on your deathbed if you had an unlimited supply? I might blackout for a decade or two. What a curse that would be ha.

Opiates. Preferably the old school opana 40s or OC 160s.
 
I have to say, I love opiates way more the benzos. I'd prefer to take 25mg hydrocodone over 2.5mg lorazepam w/ a little bit of rum.
 
I like benzos a lot but I like prescription opiates more. Benzos are still really useful to me tho when I'm not abusing them to. I love to combine them and mixing opiates is also really nice IMO.

Well yeah, but thats kind of like saying, "I'd take a lifetime supply of cocaine over a lifetime supply of ephedrine"

I would rather take tramadol than xanax. Ive never gotten true euphoria from a benzo but I can see their potential and why some people really like them. To me opiates are the ultimate drug, most of them are physically benign in pure form, they provide excellent and clear euphoria, and they provide sedation or energy depending on the dose.

All benzo's ever seem to do is cause me to think slower, act dumber, make generally stupid decisions, blackout, forget stuff, and blackout.
