Do these physical effects last

I know that everyone says that long term physical effects from psychedelics are pretty much non-existant, but I have noticed a few effects in some users. It seems that with people I know that have taken psychedelics (mostly phenethylamines), that their eyes and facial expressions seem somehow permanently effected. I am not sure if this is just because they have gotten used to tripping and so looking that way feels more natural or if there is actually some change/damage in their brain. One guy I know who was addicted to 2c-e for a while had these effects and they did not seem to improve after he had gotten over his addiction. I have also noticed it in a few others. I am very interested in psychedelics, but I refrain from using them often because I am afraid of having these effects and making people think I am constantly high.

Some things I notice

staring into space
drifting eyes
not seeming like they are fully 'there' when talking to them
slightly closed eyelids
dragging out the letters at the end of words
slow reactions

Is this caused by brain damage or just from being used to being high?

Pretty much all those things you mentioned all appear to be the side effects from cannabis but hey all these drugs effect people differently. I use to abuse 2CE / amt / 4-ACO-DMT and a whole lot more pretty heavily with my mates and we've never noticed any of these side effects, Me and my mate L did a gram of 2CE each over the summer and *knock on wood* we dont have any of these but yet my other mate who dosnt do psychedelics but smokes about 3 grams of bud a day has all of the effects you mentioned.

Those are the signs and symtoms of beign burnt out on the chronic greenery (or just really tired), not neccesarily abuse of psychedelics.
