Do shrooms affect your menstrual cycle?

So I took about 3g of shrooms for the second time in my life three days ago. This was actually the first time I've had an effective dose (took too little the first time)... and I had a really great time and enjoyed myself a lot. I feel pretty good in general, just tired.

However, yesterday my period came early. I just had it two weeks ago. I thought that maybe the shrooms was the reason... nothing else in my life has changed drastically and I'm not under a lot of stress. I've been off the pill for over six months, and my menstrual cycle has been relatively regular since... excepting one time I was under extreme stress.

I was wondering if any of you guys had encountered this before since I couldn't find anything online linking the two. I'm wondering if there may be some other cause as well. Thanks for your help

i think this board has (like most online messageboards) a disproportionate ratio of guys:girls. even though the ratio of tripper guys to tripper gals is probably closer to 50:50, the ratio of internet geek guys to internet geek gals is always skewed. and by the way i'm a guy too.

that being said, i think you answered your own question. tripping on 3g shrooms can be a stressful experience. i don't believe shrooms are particularly bad about uterine effects, but other 5HT2 agonists (LSA) are known for their ability to cause premature menstruation or abortion in otherwise healthy women.
