Hi all.
I am aware of the Pregabalin mega-thread and I have read through all of it, although I was not able to find an answer to this question.
My doc and I have been trying various alternatives to treat my insomnia and GAD for a few months now, and it generally consisted of a cocktail of drugs. We decided to give Lyrica a try (75mg, first-time user), since it's known to tackle both of these problems, eliminating the need to take multiple drugs. He suggested I take it at night, since Lyrica is apparently known for making you sleepy.
However, as the title says, I am a little concerned that by the time I wake up there won't be enough of it in my system to produce anxiolytic effects throughout the day. My anxiety has debilitating effects on my day-to-day life and I absolutely need to get this fixed, as it is the root cause of my constant depression and poor interpersonal skills.
What are your experiences with this drug? Should I suggest to my doctor that I try taking it in the morning as well? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT - Another thing I'd like to ask is if its anti-anxiety effects kick in right upon first usage, like benzos, or does it take a few days/weeks for it to really work?
