do opiates work less when constipated?

this is something that I may have noticed but not sure if psychological.

it seems that opiates do not work as well if I haven't pooped in a while. this makes sense if the opiate is being absorbed in the intestines.

I only use poppy seed tea or hydrocodone.

does anyone know if this is true or have any more information on this subject?

I should add that the ROA is always oral.

Should work better because it has time to digest instead of you just shitting out a pill whole with diarrhea. You just have tolerance now.

ive never read about this before. sounds a combination of it being psychological and, as the user above said, tolerance. backed up or not i still feel the same effects of whatever opioid im using.

I agree with the above poster...it is just tolerance. The more frequently you take opiates/opioids the more constipation you will generally experience. Also, the more opiates/opioids you take, the more tolerance you develop. It just so happens that they go hand in hand with taking more drugs..so it only seems that one is the result of the other.
