Do opiates keep you awake?

Oxy= gets me very energetic & very irritable, hence me not taking oxy anymore........could never sleep on them

Hydrocodone= very relaxing & can sleep well.

Tramadol= can not sleep at all on them.

Morphine= sleep like a baby at night.

Yes I get a mental energy from opiates, I guess from the euphoric rush. I know with kratom, I will end up laying in bed feeling absolutely amazing - it's like I'm so relaxed and snuggled up but my body feel so good that I can't fall asleep for a few hours. I dont mind it lol

This happens to me as well, but only from my DOC, smoked H. I get a euphoric rush as well with a burst of energy and I'll do anything from cleaning, to taking the trash out, even going for a bike ride to the store for some goodies haha (opies also make me crave sweets)

I know many people who have this effect from opiates such as hydrocodone mostly. I seem to experience this whenever I only ingest hydrocodone though, same with them. quite common actually.

Opiates keep me up all night but then again that is just me. Everyone is effected different.

And different opiates and opioids have different sedation values. I find oxycodone does not sedate nearly as much as morphine. Diamorphine is also quite sedating but the Rx 10mg tablets have such low bioavailability that you need quite a high dosage compared with the equivalence tables' strict figures. I also find that dipipanone and dextromoramide are superbly euphoric yet sedation not much more than oxycodone, whose analgesia is the best available apart from the heroin hydrochloride Rx powder for reconstitution, which is REALLY difficult to get scripted. Unless you have a terminal condition or have a heart attack, that is.

I've done Codeine and Hydro.

Codeine always made me beg for my bed. But that could of been cuz I would smoke a lot of weed on it.

Hydro which I've done twice made me very sedated the first (again maybe because of the weed n beer) but I recently took norco which induced severe insomia that night and no progress in REM sleep. When I thought I was sleeping I was actually just nodding. Quite annoying. I mean id feel to knock the fuck out but just can't. (I hadn't smoked any weed that time)

Oxycodone and hydrocodone give me a serious energy and euphoria.
The one and only time I took an 80 mg oxycontin I was high as fuck to the point of having panic attacks. I'd calm myself down and I guess the time release would kick more in my system and I'd be high as fuck again. This went on for about 8 hours. (Some people ok probably most would love that. I didn't, lol) I couldn't sleep on that either.
Codeine makes my head feel fuzzy and kind of like my ears are stuffed up even though I never take more than the highest recommended dose. It doesn't make me quite as hyper as the above, so a few hours after taking it I can sleep.
As other's said, morphine makes me a little bit sleepy and I don't get that rush I love from the others.

I believe its all up to your make up and other things. Opiates used to give me energy-not anymore. I used to get Quaaludes, Lemons. sopars, parest, etc and they made me stay up all night and have orgies. Of course those days are gone. I have traveled to S Africa and some Places like Belgium to find than when they became a C1 in most of the world. I have offered major$ and no luck. Don't understand? In the mid 80's after they where illegal some of the best ludes came from south America (Columbia for as low as.75$ea when buying thousands of them again that is history because the boots became benzo's and barbs that became a lost cause. I have heard they were still attainable in S Africa. I have offered 100k to connect with a chemist. But to the point being a non barb hypnotic sleeping pill they made me have energy except for motor skills such as driving. After getting off a major H habit and 6 years of methadone they were my savior. I was going to 7 doc's in Miami and everybody's best friend.
I guess the main point is each has they own, some sleep on speed and some get energy from sleeping pills

Opiates give me as much energy as meth plus I'm still sociable. When I'm geeked on speed I'm usually quiet and withdrawn. With opiates I'm a regular social butterfly. Tramadol in my opinion is a waste of time effort and money. They are good for curbing withdrawal and that's about it

Not really. Sometimes Ill feel so good that I don't want to go to sleep but im almost always able to. if anything opiates help me sleep
