Iv'e got there morning glory seeds that are about 1 and a half years old . ive keep them sealed in a plastic bag they came in , in a cardboard box in my dark closet , but it gets really hot here in the south east of the US and i know heat can mess with them . would these still be any good?

thanks

It's hard or impossible to tell whether the actives / alkaloids are still present and stable since I doubt someone has scientific documentation on that ready and most of all: storage conditions can vary a lot if they are dependent on ever changing weather patterns or the specific climate profile of where you live and store them....
....but I don't think it would be dangerous to just try them since AFAIK they only turn inactive and not 'bad' or dangerous. Unless they came in contact with water that is. Normally seeds dehydrate, losing water to the air, and they don't go moldy cause of how dry they are. If you get them wet again somehow they could either germinate or spoil.
