Do marijuana pills work?

Anyone here ever try marijuana pills? Do they have the same effect as on the body and mind as smoking?
 
What are MJ pills?
Are they made from THC or some form of its substitute?
If they're from THC, they would be like smoked MJ, but stronger (if taken enough, WAY stronger), with longer onset and longer duration.
 
I think he is talking about Marinol pills. I havent actually tried them myself but most ppl I know that have didnt like them as much as smoking....People said it made them more anxious and didnt have the same Euphoria. Everyone is different tho....
 
The most common ones are called Marinol, its actually synthetic THC and lots of people who use them say they are no where near as effective as smoking. I've heard people taking upwards of 7-8 pills to get the same high as one bowl of dank.

However clinics sell encapsulated hash oil that is supposed to be a lot better then Marinol.

This is all from what I've read, no personal experience with them.
 
Yes, they work. I took like 3 Marinol pills and I was stoned out of my ass for a good 6-7 hours.

I'd still rather smoke though.
 
if you are talking about hash capsules found at dispensaries, it depends on the dispensary. they do work for me tho as they contain about .3g of hash each for me
 
if you're talking about marinol...take 2-3 of em...and smoke a bowl... you will be BLAZED
 
I have encapsulated hash before. It is fantastic in effect but hard to dose accurately with out over doing it. Personally I would rather smoke it. It easier to get the desired dose taking one hit at a time. When eating the caps you have to wait at least an hour before you know you've had enough then if you had too much you get to feel anxious for hours rather then 30-60 minutes like when you smoke it.
 
yeah, what everyone else said, i have a script for 100 marinol. with 5 refills, 5mg3x a day, but i would have to eat 5,6,7 or something of them to get same affect as a joint decent bud. and it costs me $11.48 per pill, you gotta be insane!

its a dab of THC, no CBD's or THCV, and sesame oil... you know, the other essentials, that balance everything out.

but... having that script can be very very important, if you have MM, a good physician making the recommendation, should give you a script to that s well.
 
Yeah Marinol works, but it's a different feel than just being baked. Didn't seem to be too much of an in-your-face high. It did however, provide a nice backdrop high that would magnify the high of smoking. I've also had them punctured and spread on a blunt before.

but its short lived, maybe 2 hours... more like a good therapeutic 1 hour.

When you say intense sense of clarity are you referring to mental clarity? Genius even?

Where can I get encapsulated hash and would you recommend encapsulated hash as opposed to Marinol?

No they are not the same thing, I make my own. I buy empty capsules and put the hash in it. But i think that dispensaries in California or other states where medicinal is allowed you can buy it pre-made.

Marinol is a pharmaceutical produced by a drug company. It is pure THC in an edible oil.
 
I have no experience in this area but from what Ive heard Sativex is where it's at. It is suppose to be alot more active and pleasurable than Marinol, probably due to the fact that it is derived from marijuana itself and is not entirely synthetic.
