Do Jihadists have a point?

The Islamic State (Full Length): http://youtu.be/AUjHb4C7b94

dont know how I missed this thread.....

Why dont you just let the caliphate speak for themselves.

Seems quite reminiscent of what Christianity would have been doing during the Dark Ages and Inquisition times.

Thanks for bolstering the slant of the O.P. showing how most of the Abrahamic cults are immoral.

hey,
If I highjack a plane and crash it into a building doesnt make it the planes fault.

Correct.
In the case you are thinking of, it was Islam, a religions that was a take-off of your religion, and their methods match your religions closely.

It must be pretty damn frustrating to have such absolute certainty that one is possession of, and strictly adherent to, the absolute metaphysical truth for all mankind, and yet every day see those who do not believe and adhere as you do live such easier lives.

You know,
Im not so sure they are frustrated.
You dont blow yourself up out of frustration in my opinion.
Consistent steady patient attack while draining the US will and bank account is their way of life.
They are clever, not to be underestimated.
At the moment, they are winning
But to your point, there is a difference in prophecy and self fulfilling prophecy.

Countries go to war as a means of making the poor poorer and the rich richer.

Who funds these wars? Tax payers.

Who profits from these wars? Corporations and share holders.

Do Jihadists ever have points that are rational and with which I could have sympathy. Yes.

Is it typical or to be expected that the rhetoric of a Jihadist is rational? No.

Even on the matters where Jihadists have some justification and logic, are their means somewhat proportional and justified. Id say close to never.

Do I want muslims to be able to practice their religion in peace without scorn. Yes. Most muslims aren't all out Jihadists.

I do have reservations about the absence of toleration for dissent and apostasy in a great deal of the muslim world. Same concerns about other religions but in almost all other cases my concern is much less in non-muslim societies. i don't have a prescription for my concerns or for muslim society. The real word filled with real people, many of whom are wounded and damaged with no easy solutions. Since I'm not Muslim, my focus is best spent on me and people around me rather than on the state of Islam, but I do have concerns.

If thy eye offends thee, cut it out.

Religious intolerance is bread by religions and their antiquated tribalism. Religions need to either change of be outlawed.

This will not end all Jihadist type of rebellion but will at least not have large groups hating other large groups based on the wrong labels being applied. As in the case of IS and others, Muslims are being thought to be breeding Jihadists when it is other factors that are doing so.

All religions strive to be the largest tribe and it is that idiocy that must be fought. We all belong to one tribe, humanity and have to start thinking that way. We must return to Babel and learn how to understand each other again.

We war because old men like drama and do not care whose sons die.

Nice to see ya GB, hope you're well.

The J-men have been a little quite lately.
Either a lot of them are realizing what they bought isnt quite what they thought it would be and this is causing problems
or
they are getting ready to do something significant.
Their "movement" is dependent on making moves--unfortunately.

Perhaps the money men and governments who arm them are having a harder time hiding their activities.

Would it not be nice if our pointing to those and asking for action has hit a nerve.

The butterfly effect at work.

Let us pray to all the Gods that it be so.
