Like seriously, how hard could really be ,I tried the 30/30 thing,,I bought a digital thermometer,,,and after coughing uncontrollably for 15 minutes on two occasion's, and only a couple minutes a few times but I’m still doing something wrong..

Don’t get me wrong when I put “bowl”on the dab-rig water pipe and add a little bud, hash, badder and fire it up and use the little glass bubble to cover the bowl it’s great ,,,,but when I just try to smoke the badder from a nail is where things get screwed up…

>>>>>>If anyone knows of a good link that explains the process without the possibility of it going south,,,

I see folks taking a hit of badder and blowing a huge cloud,,,,meanwhile I blow a small cloud and cough my head off🤣🤣🤓🤓🥸🥸🙏🙏

ah that looks like a quartz bucket. they don't hold heat as well as the TI nails so in my experience they need to be heated for longer periods and then hit them right away after heating usually with slightly smaller dabs

I’ve tried a few different methods and the coughing fits are far from being fun,,then the hits that don’t produce smoke,,,,,I’m just trying to figure things out the painless way🤣🤣
,Smoking it on a regular bowl gets you high as fuxx so it’s all good…

Every quartz / glass bucket and torch combination has their own sweet spot as far as heating and cooling time goes. I heat my bucket for 45 seconds, then let it cool for 30 and it's smooth sailing. A carb cap for the bucket is sort of mandatory for proper vapor production.

Even just using a different kind of torch I'd have to go back to the drawing board and start over again, as far as dialing in the optimal heating and cooling time goes. So stick with one torch / bucket, don't fuck with the flame size until you have a few repeatably smooth dabs under your belt.

As far as the coughing goes, that's usually down to simply smoking too much at once too fast, or by torching the shit of of your dab (bucket waaaay too hot). So take the amount that made you hack up a lung, cut that by half, and repeat until you have an amount that's manageable. I'd do tiny dabs at first anyways until I got the equipment and technique dialed in. No, you don't need a college course for it, it's just a bunch of trial and error. Just by looking at your gear I wouldn't be able to give you exact precise instructions, as your torch and bucket are unfamiliar to me. Heat for a known amount of time, let it cool for a known amount of time, if everything in the bucket just evaporates and torches it's too hot, if you're left with a bunch of runny oil in the bucket it was too cold. I'd rather have it be a bit on the cooler side of things and re-heat the bucket a second time. Makes for easier cleaning too.

Speaking of cleaning, get in the habit of swabbing out your glass or quartz buckets with a q-tip after every use. That will immediately tell you how your temps were. If all of the residue wipes out clean, you were good, if you're left with burnt or charred on residue, way too hot. Cleaning between each use (by swabbing the still-warm bucket) will also prevent residue from permanently burning into the bucket and potentially ruining it.

The exact name of the piece of hardware that you're using there, at least here in Canada, is called a "Terp Slurper". I don't own one, might want to do some googling and have a look at youtube on how the folks who do own one operate it. Typically it comes with a bunch of glass balls ("terp pearls") that go inside the bucket, and have a vented lid, cap, or other accessory to cover the top with and direct airflow with.

Thank you for the detailed reply,,but as of still today I’m still just using the bowl attachment and putting a piece of hash and a pc of badder too it,,,oh that’s on top of a bowl of good weed,,,I don’t think the dabbing for me,,,,I’m really happy on how high I get by just smoking it in a bowl is,,I love the different scents the flavors have👍👍🙏

Yeah man, no worries. I was trying off and on again to get the dabbing figured out as well, it takes a bit of perseverance and trial and error. What ultimately helped me was watching someone else with the same hardware as me take a few dabs on youtube. I had to get the order of operations right and get used to the "flow" of picking up the dab, dropping it into the bucket, covering the lid with a carb cab, all the while gently inhaling through the piece while not trying to burn myself or set the house or dog on fire haha.

I rarely dab anymore, but I'm glad that I have the technique in my pocket now. It's a nice way of inhaling some crispy clean cannabis vapors, though these days I much prefer vaporizing whole flower on its own.

I tell ya what --- I was wasting most of the concentrate I bought for over two years before I grabbed a "Nectar collector"/Arc welder ( I grabbed a lookah seahorse, I have broke one tip and got 4 replacements )

My hash literally lasts 3 to 4x as long as trying to time the torch out. Other ppl tell me the torch works better so YMMV but if you are lazy this is the way. Push USB button inhale over concentrate. Done. lol

I totally understand,I’ve watched a few videos on dabbing and they all have they’re routine that works for them,,,,when I bump into someone that dabs ( in real life) I’ll pick their brain and figure out what I was doing wrong..

I’m use to smoking ( crumble) in a joint,,,roll the majority in the end you light up..it behaves just like crack,,it goes opposite direction of the heat…

I do believe people who have a good rhythm routine are probably getting more with the torch --- I don't like burning myself (Using a torch to get high seems idk..) and this ish is foolproof. Half a bill isn't a bad buy in - other brands are around the same price.

Let us know what you decide to go with and how it works.

Especially if you get an E-nail. That was the other option I was looking at but far more expensive.
