I notice like a fuzzy blue and white static on like walls/in the dark. Its really annoying. They are all over my vision. The best way i can describe it is static. I first noticed it on fucking MORNING GLORIES. Who would of though morning glories would cause this lol. And i take adderall also, anyway the static is everywhere in the dark and when i close my eyes. They are a bunch of very small "flashing dots" in my vision.
Like i said its worst at night but still noticeable during the day, only if im looking at walls though.
Oh and my glasses make it a lot better during the day, but not really at night

IME unless you are heavily abusing psychedelics any signs of HPPD will go away if you simply abstain from taking drugs for a while, eat well, and get enough sleep. also stimulants like adderall can cause visual distortions similar to those of HPPD.

I dont know your entire history of drug use but if you have the symptoms from just using morning glory seeds and adderall I think if you give it time you'll be back to normal.

As what Opanamoium said...

HPPD reallyt is from long and/or heavy abuse of psychedelics. If its from occasional use it might persist for a few days and go away. Unlike my issue... Ive been using psychedelics for 10+ years and HPPD is something that has never gone away. Even during a 3 year break. Still there. So pretty. It dosnt bother me tho, I refuse to take prescription pills to turn off my brain. Ide rather take things to turn it on.

So get sleep, take ya vitamins and eat well. Give it a few days.

Static does not necessarily mean HPPD, and people are rather quick and rash to diagnose any visual defects as HPPD imo.

I have had this same visual static for many years, about half of my life, and it wasn't triggered by any drug use, just slowly grew over time and still seems to be growing with age. Certain drugs like stimulants, and often Cannabis seem to make it worse, while others such as (tryptamine) Psychedelics seem to improve it for me.

Asking others if you have this is IMO pointless because by definition a disorder is when you experience significant problems in your functioning because of something. You can have HPPD symptoms and be carefree about it or you can have some array of psychological, physical or sensory difficulties from psychedelic use. Of course HPPD is about the sensory part of that only, though you can categorize it under physiological disruption.

So in conclusion: you should be able to diagnose the extent of this yourself, as with so much else there is not a more clear cut line of division between having it and not having it. Manuals like DSM-IV do use checklists of criteria or symptoms but in the end it's mostly about how much difficulty you experience from it. Getting it labeled, professionally or not, does not help or change it especially in this case since there is no real treatment for it anyway except abstinence i.e. cutting down on or quitting the drugs that caused it.

Welcome to the club.......I was on another drug forum asking this question 2 years ago after i had constant disturbances from a number of very large mephedrone binges. Still have it. Static is the most common symtom, the first one i noticed too. It is fucking annoying to begin with, especially looking at anything plain, or the sky. I tend to see straight edges shaking quite bad, like pipes or door frames and stuff. Keep us posted on how you're getting on and if you notice any new disturbances from it :)
