Do get more THC from eating marijuana than smoking it?

Quite a few people have said that baking marijuana in cookies gets you higher than smoking it (which gives you an instant high) while some have told me the opposite. Wouldn't the latter group of people be correct in that smoking is the best way to to get very high as opposed to eating say hash cookies or hash cakes (assuming they are properly prepared)? The reason I make this assumption is because the marijuana takes longer to get into the blood stream and would not be successful in crossing the blood brain barrier to reach the brain and the neurons as successfully as smoking it. Where smoking makes contact with aveoli in the lungs reaching the neurons. So do I lose the advantage of a cerebral high if I merely eat marijuana unlike smoking it to get high?

As long as it gets in the bloodstream it all passes the BBB just as well. The only difference I can see is oral BA for the individual cannabanoids vs smoked BA for individual cannabanoids giving the bloodstream a different ratio of CBDs to THC, but I doubt it is really significant.

i also agree with you. when i made a firecracker i used over .5 of some pretty nice bud, and i got pretty high. it was nice, but i don't need nearly that much weed if i'm smoking it

although if you use crazy dank and make hash oil, it may be the same...

A "firecracker" is hardly a properly prepared piece of hash food. Cooking with proper cannabutter is a whole new ball game.

Cooking potentially gets you more high because none of the cannabinoids are destroyed by the flame of a lighter, but either way your getting stoned and i think the difference is so small it doesn't matter.

Eating it just gives me a more physical high... attaches me to the couch. To get the best high eat some and then smoke some. :)

A lot of the THC is destroyed by the heat of combustion and even of the remaining THC/cannabinoids that survive that, only a small percentage are absorbed into the lungs and go to the brain. With edibles, all of the THC is absorbed but slower. Certainly (in my experience at least) edibles obviously take a lot longer to kick in but get me much much higher than smoking alone. Then again, I did smoke before eating the firecrackers I had, but still got a lot higher than I could of achieved with just smoking.

The thing I'm worried about the most is that we might get less THC from eating than smoking due to the length of time it takes for the marijuana molecules to enter our bloodstream. Does it enter the blood bit by agonizing bit or does it hit you in one shot?

I'm sure you get A LOT of CBD from eating herb.

At least I probably did when I ate too much since I got lots of body load-like the high amount you get from a very intense mushroom trip and it was impossible to move at points during that night.

If you want only THC, don't smoke your herb get a vaporizer and use that. It's like eating brownies or firecrackers but without the nausea/body load from eating too much herb and vaporizing herb lasts way longer than smoking it does. :)

I have used a magic flight launch box and I was very skeptical at first but now I do not ever want to smoke again unless there was really no other option at all and I wanted to get high.

Here's why I think digestion is inferior to smoking THC. Tis because the molecules leave the stomach and enter the bloodstream bit by bit (correct me if I'm wrong). This results in a very mediocre onset.

They are simply different Routes of Administration. Smoking does not physically allow you to get as much THC and cannabinoids AT ONE TIME as you potentially can with eating. Smoking does however allow you to get the THC and cannabinoids into your system FASTER than edibles.
