Looking back on all the generations that have used and abused drugs (including this one), and all the cultures that have formed around these drugs, is more harm or good done? Explain.

All depends on how you use them, I think a better question would be "Does governmental control over drugs do more harm or good to culture?"

i think its 50 50 they both do really good to culture but they also do harm

In terms of culture, I'd say they easily do more harm than good. I can't think of many circumstances in which a drug of any kind could hurt the culture of a people. Society is a different matter.

It depends on the drug and whether they're abused or not.

I think opiates have caused more good than harm. I can't say the same about crack though.

depends on the drug and the legal ramifications.

smoking abit of weed isn't hurting anyone.

smoking alot of crack and killing babies does.

^Why not? The question isn't the title of the thread, it's the question i typed out. Go into detail about specific cultures if you want. I asked about drugs in general not a specific drug or generation.

How in the fuck does smoking crack equate with killing babies?

I'll give you an example. At the end of the 60's early 70's we lost Jim Morrison, Hendrix, and Janis Joplin. I would consider that drugs harming culture. Feel free to use any other examples.

Drugs are part of every culture, and they are here to stay.

All the people you mentioned above died the way they choose to die.

Burger King has probably killed more people than drugs this last year.

yeah but what if someone felt jimi hendrix, jim morrison, etc were harmin culture? then wouldn't drugs be helping culture by killing them off? this questions is too subjective to answer. it all depends on what type of culture you like. for example, some people dislike certain cultures and like others. what does that have to do with drugs? i dont see how this question can be answered.
